The property was sold and now I have a horrible neighbor, who is threatening and constantly has drunks and addicts being hauled off his property after parties... We are trying to figure out the BEST sort of boundary hopefully both living plants and fencing to place between as we are tired of his uninvited guests and animals wandering into your yard. My sympathies for the bad neighbors thing. I had a miserable neighbor when I first moved in. Complained about my property so much (dogs, tree branches, whole trees), and no compromise was enough. I even suspect she had her yard guys spray weed killer over the fence, because everything within 2 feet of that property line died suddenly one year, including a well-established mimosa silk tree. I’m careful not to wish ill upon people, but I can’t say I’ve missed her since she passed a few years ago.

Honestly, if they're trying to mess with your beds with the grass, add in mountains of mulch to your beds. Pine, sugarcane, even grass clippings - so long as the dirt is covered the grass will struggle to get into the garden beds. Then top up as it rots down and you won't have as much maintenance. So long as the mulch isn't touching any plant stems or trunks, you're fine with it not causing collar rot.

Maybe put up a fence between you and the neighbors
@dawnlambe86012 ай бұрын
So, let me get this straight… There was land the neighbors were forced to sell. You bought said land which is attached to your property. Neighbor is 🍑 hurt that you’re doing something, so they mow over what work you’ve done and to put clippings on the hat is now your property? And then they get others involved as well? Um, ((IF)) this is correct, the. WHY don’t you call cops and have them trespassed? They trespassed, destruction of property, harassment, intimidation… Just saying.

I did sheriff said it was a civil case 🙃

Im sure it hurt/upset them to lose the property but they did..and thats not your fault. Youre just the new property owner. Its none of their business what you do on uour property now. They all just need to move on ane be good neighbors

The garden looks great, and I'm HERE for the Karen neighbor drama. I just wonder if you needed to anchor those retaining walls. I get it's not too tall but that is a lot of dirt you put in behind it... And the yard does slope pretty bad... It sounds like it doesn't rain often. But when it does, I guess it's pretty heavy... I'd be worried about soil liquifaction and everything just sliding down the hill...
@AuthenticWeАй бұрын
My mounds, are not walls, they are anchored with 3 foot of brick/concrete encased in fired logs and buried then encased again
@jonjacob1962Ай бұрын
@@AuthenticWe your MOUNDS are being held back by that little tiny brick wall in front of them. Making it, wait for it, a retaining wall. It RETAINS your MOUNDS. Just because you threw a bunch of crap down in the bottom doesn't mean they're anchored. I've only co owned a landscaping business for the better part of 15 years and only seen "mounds" slide down hills/wash away in heavy rain a dozen or so times. But what do I know. You don't have to have an attitude with everyone. I was simply giving an opinion as another person who loves gardening and doesn't wanna see all your hard work wash away with a heavy rainfall.

@@AuthenticWe lol. I'm starting to see why your neighbor is a "Karen" to you. Someone simply says something to you, and you get a snappy little attitude and wanna argue with them. You can't just have a conversation? Not once in my original comment was I trying to be rude to you. I was simply sharing an observation I've made and asking your opinion. Then you had to come at me sideways. I hope your garden does stay in place and remains as beautiful as it is. Have a good one.

Any possibility the neighbor who drives truck is secretly admiring your work, and it's the wife who is actually the problem, not him? (My first intro to your garden so you may have addressed this in an earlier video that Ihaven't seen.)
@AuthenticWe2 ай бұрын
@anng.4542 actually no, I haven’t thought about that since they both plus their son and teenage grandchildren always sit back and mock the reasons for my gardening (which since 2019 I’ve buried my 2 best friends both parents and 2 aunties, 3 cousins, and my dog) and they way they mock and laugh is by acting out skits about my very tragedy and laughing about it, so after nearly 5 solid years I come to understand they are narcissists and it doesn’t matter the attitude and aggression they just want attention (thank you for you support)
