Aggressively cleaning and sealing a rusty gas tank

I discover an awesome medium for abrasive cleaning of a heavily rusted Suzuki Bandit petrol tank. The tank comes up clean as a whistle then I finish off by sealing it with a carbon fiber resin.
The secret medium? Shattered toughened glass.

This one was solid, not leaking, but the seal at the cap was rusty, the cap drain was blocked and the fuel had absorbed a ton of water and the tank was really rusticalled up like a ships anchor.
