I don't really think it was much forced. Taida running away from responsibility was a pretty interesting development. What was disappointing is the fact that Haida was never held accountable by the show for his actions. He just kind of was there, with no repercussions

But everything just had to go back to normal. You know it would have been interesting if things didn't go back to normal at the end. Maybe things do go back to normal but they don't return to how they were again. What I mean is that it would have been interesting if Haida stayed as the director.

I hope the show is smart enough to look beyond Haida as a love interest for Retsuko. Not only I think he already lost his chance, but I think he needs to grow as a person before start looking for a couple .

Yeah... but this would not be a marriage to him. Because he don't believe in marriage and thinks this a old fashioned and useless companionshipment. She wants to get married and have childs. Tadano said: "No Marriage... No Children." I still believe they gonna bring Rasasuke back into this as a totally more confident guy. But this would also mean, if they gonna marry... she would never become a "stay at home wife".

I’ll help you: Retsuko spends the entire First Season dreaming about marrying a hardworking guy so she can “be a housewife” (hilarious given she can barely keep her own place clean), the Christmas Special has her pretending everything is great on social media only for her friends (who she frequently ignores unless she needs them) to come rescue her from her loneliness (before this she somehow becomes besties with the president’s secretary Washimi and Gori the head of marketing). Season 2 has her being forced to train a new trainee (Anae) by Ton, but again she can barely handle her own work and Anae is such a snowflake he threatens to have her written up over her (perfectly understandable) mistakes. In the end due to Retsuko being a crappy chef, and some mommying from Kabae, Anae saves a work event and everyone lives happily ever after (despite him terrifying Retsuko and Haida and threatening lawsuits frequently). Anyway after that Retsuko meets and gets involved with a Donkey version of Elon Musk (Tadano), who is perfectly willing to spoil her with anything she could ever want ... but he doesn’t believe in marriage. Romance ends but Haida ends up being best bros with Tadano despite his earlier jealousy. Season 3 - Starts with Retsuko yet again proving how ill-equipped of an adult she is by blowing all her money on a “Sexy VR Unicorn boyfriend”, then on to and mom, Momsuko tells her to take care of herself and gives her money as she drives to return the rental car, but Retsuko being Retsuko just HAS TO stop and get expensive takeout resulting in her rear-ending Hyoudou and denting his van. He is *rightly* pissed at her and comes to the agreement that she works for him managing a new Idol Group he manages called OTM Girls. Throughout all this she never once tells Haida, Fenneko, Washimi, Gori, ANY of her friends what is going btw (except for Washimi who briefly loans her money). It all comes to a head when a crazed OTM Girls fan attacks her, Haida saves her (choosing her over the much-lovelier Inue) but she becomes a shut-in from the trauma, resulting in Gori using an app she developed with Tadano that proves he and Retsuko “are the perfect match” and after Haida channeling his inner Punk Scream life goes on. Season 4 - Haida is hesitant around Retsuko leaving her frustrated, ironic given she snubbed him after he said even if they were married he didn’t make enough for them both to quit working (she walked off as he’s explaining this). Haida rescues the current president when he collapses, then becomes a subordinate of the new President (Himuro) who seems to be very “out with the old and in with the new”, so he reallocates Ton until he quits. Haida is ordered by Himuro to do shady things “for the company”, resulting in all the previously inept characters doing a Mission Impossible-style mission to bring down Himuro and Haida is seen as a bad guy “who did it all for Retsuko” ... and good GOD did this tick me off 😤😤😤 Hope this helps!

Just throwing it out there, but being a full time housewife/homemaker is not what it's cracked up to be. Unless you have time and/or workout equipment you'll steadily gain weight. And if you had a job before, you'll miss having your own money/disposable income to spend.

In Japan, most are still conservative especially old people that are in government. With how things are in the economy rn, it's not enough if only the guy works. And when the wife works, she also has to take care of the house/chores and kids because men believe that it's their job. So women prefer just being alone. And the government also believes that cause they're old and not open-minded which is really sad because Japan's population is declining extremely fast every year.

I really hope Tadano and Retsuko become end game... Even though Tadano doesn't believe in marriage when he first appeared, the whole show has been shown that people are capable of change with time. Haida and Retsuko had pretty bad problems throughout their relationship last season. Y'know... 'she got him out of the job' and 'he had a tendency to neglect her during his job', problems.
