Thank you so much for this set of videos!!! Before I found it, I watched so many other videos about SAFe and read so many materials, but they were so high level and so hard for understanding for a beginner. I guess only after watching your explanation I finally understand the main idea and can connect it to real life. I can't even explain how you helped me, thank you again!

Great overview. Fwiw, I prefer the term "long-term" to "long-lived" (which is a rarely used term in day-to-day speak ... nowhere near as common as "short-lived"). I know it's used in the official SAFe documentation, and all the SAFe experts use it, but outside that nobody uses it and I even found it vague and confusing when I first encountered it.

Good evening Sir, Excellent videos. I do have a question for you. My organization embraced SAFe framework about 2 years ago; however, there is a lot of confusion. Q1: The organization a Headquarter; therefore their mission is to provide oversight policies in cybersecurity, CIO and Networks. There is no development work other than approving policies, creating reports and oversight implementation plan done by sub organizations. Therefore; is SAFe applicable to such organization? Q2: There is only Mission statement; however there is no vision. There is no portfolio backlog, program backlog etc. The leadership has asked to do bottom up approach. What are the steps I can take to coach them? Q3: The leadership has also adopted OKRs approach; however, there is no strategic theme defined. What is the proper way of implementing OKRs? Q4: Need guidance on the hierarchy level. How can we construct it? My thought for hierarchy level are as follows: Theme-> Initiative (multi year-portfolio backlog)->Epic(Annual-program backlog) Feature(PI)-> user story (Iteration-4 weeks)-> task. Is this correct? Leadership wants the OKRs build. Where may fit them in this structure? Sorry for laundry list of questions. I was a bit hesitant to ask. Appreciate your input.

Question: How to decide which team require SAFe ART and which team require Scrum?
@izenbridge Жыл бұрын
In general is a matter of scale, SAFe only make sense when you have more than 5 scrum teams who need to collaborate and integrate to develop systems. Our this article might be useful : www.izenbridge.com/blog/difference-between-safe-and-scrum/

Hi Saket, I am really interested in getting enrolled in your next batch for Safe Essential Training, and till it starts I am going through this series on Safe Essential. One key question I am hoping to get the answer for is that if we have multiple products that are not connected to each other(hence the business outcome is different for different teams, is true that there is no advantage of going Scaled Agile in that case? )
@izenbridge2 жыл бұрын
You can say so, and our video series explains SAFe in good detail, the essential block of SAFe is Agile Release Train, which mean multiple teams working together, they are working together because they are interdependent
