I love that Agilite doesn't reinvent the wheel but adds very innovative features that stand out in a saturated market of similar rebranded ideas. The stretch in the belt, the magnets for consistent positioning, skeleton rigid frame in the front. And with their K-Zero and Pincer pouches, They're just very smart designers and innovative in this gear market. Agilite has become my go to gear company.

Got mine yesterday. Waiting on another part to come in to finish loading it out. Love it already. I love the foldover on the inner belt. It drastically improves the ability of the inner belt to actually function as a belt that holds up your pants. Could not agree more about the buckle needing to be trimmed down. That was the first thing I noticed when I went to put the belt on for the first time because the buckle wouldn’t fit through my belt loops without fanangling on each one. I also have the belt and am very satisfied. The only negative point so far is that it doesn't end with 2 - 4 Molle at the back but with 3 - 5. This means that an IFAK, e.g. from Terra B, cannot be attached in the center. I once discussed the issue with the owner of a company we work together a lot with (RADIAL DEFENSE ) and two weeks later had a QD-capable solution on the table. The IFAK is attached once to an adapter plate made of a material similar to carbon fiber. It doesn't even need to be threaded due to the design. The IFAK is then simply clamped centrally at the back. The big advantage here is that it sits absolutely securely due to the additional Velcro, the magnets are further out to the inner belt and engage even better and I can remove it in a few simple steps, for example for IPSC matches or if I want to use the IFAK in the car. Let's see if they bring the product out but im absolutly happy with it

I really, really wanted to like this belt. I bought a large as per their sizing recommendations, but it's just too big. I have to make both the inner belt and outer belt as tight as they go and it's still a bit loose and doesn't lay flat at the buckle. Also, because of the loose fit, the buckle won't line up in front above the pants zipper when the magnets are centered. The kicker, I also ordered a medium and it's too small. I can't even get the tongue of the inner belt to insert into the inner belt sleeve. The outer belt has a 5 inch exposure of the tongue and the buckle has to be loosened nearly completely. It's almost like I was sent a XL labeled as an L. Its really unfortunate because, like I said, I really, really wanted to like this belt.

How does this compare to the defense mechanisms mech belt?
@ThinLineDefenseCoАй бұрын
The magnetix is great but they're different in how they're two different designs. The magnetix is more generation 1.5 where it's a stiffening material with tegris woven in. Which means it's a bit heavier and bulkier. Gen 2 is full tegris so the Mech belt is lower profile but more slimline. So it comes down to which style you like better as they're both fantastic choices. I dont' think you can go wrong with either.

@ThinLineDefenseCo26 күн бұрын
I think it's a preference thing but they're both insane. Some folks don't like one wrap style connection systems so the agilite may be better but others may like a more lightweight system. The agilite also is easier to don with all your crap on but the DM is also easier to swap gear around. You're really splitting hairs and they're both great. I prefer the gen3 fully tegris/curv style myself but between the mech/arc/magnetix, I just grab whichever is closest on my way to the range.

I've been a fan of Agilite for awhile, and i really appreciate yheir efforts to produce a new belt with real improvement, but that price feels insane to me. Don't get me wrong: other belts are expensive too, but just to put it into perspective, we're being asked to pay about $60-70 less than a full blown plate carrier. How is a belt so expensive when it's gotta be fairly simple to produce, uses dramatically less material, and has next to no angles for production by comparison? I just don't get it. I've got a gen 1 and a gen 2. I'd absolutely consider this belt, but I don't need it for that price. And while it offers good features, misses on the ability to use the stiffening element and the price.
