I always enjoy your little chats. I just turned 72, my husband has passed, and I don't know if I've ever been really lonely. I do have a disabled son here, but because of the stroke he had many years ago his speech is very impaired.. I have found, especially now in this current atmosphere in this country, that the meanest, most judgemental, hate filled people are the ones who claim to be religious. The real Christians consider everyone a brother and sister and treat them accordingly.

Hello Margaret, I have only one child- a son. He is going to be 38 in September. For me, I stay very active with volunteer work in my church. I have bankrolled my son for many, many years ( in excess of $200, 0:08 000). That has not really helped him to be financially responsible for himself. Recently, I had to face a bitter truth which is that I have enabled him too much. I love him but I am now committed to changing our dynamic with each other. I used to call him every week but I have realized that he also has the ability to call me. At this juncture in our relationship I am not giving him any more money ( except Christmas and birthday). For years, I really thought frequently giving him money ( not loaning) was a help to him. It is not! Anyway, I am not putting nearly as much effort into our relationship as I did for many, many years. I am taking a wait and see approach to what he does and how our relationship will change because I have changed! Elizabeth Goodrich, Texas I am not lonely mainly because I am very involved in volunteer work in my church.

@@elizabethclark8374 You are so right...giving money to someone with an ongoing money problem doesn't help, it enables them......I learned that in my 40's from a dear older lady who was financially taken advantage of by her daughter and sil.... She finally realized she was enabling and stopped...it was hard on her to see them 'suffer' but she realized that it was the only way they'd ever learn. She did keep the lights on for them and if they had no food provided that but little more.

Today’s new world(sadly) no one can have a different opinion - I say to my son, what ever happened to discussion groups - in school debate teams - God forbid. Anyway, Faith is so personal - I think should never be judgmental! - I understand exactly the woman you are talking about, I am now in South, lost hubby and family all North - I pushed myself after he passed and forced myself out to the things we used to do- wasn’t easy - anyway, discussion for another day.Love your hairdo -

Margaret, I love that you are outspoken, I am as well and that helped me through my childhood abuse. I definitely do believe in God and for me he has gotten me through my trials. Without the unconditional love of my almighty Lord and the love of my dogs and cats along the way, I know I would not have made it. I have two daughters and have been blessed to be part of their lives. Of course there have been ups and downs and differences along the way. That is part of life. I have been divorced now for 14 yrs as I was married for a very long time. I’m an introverted extrovert, so when I am alone, I always feel his presence and with that peace. I don’t judge those who don’t believe, I pray that they will find the unconditional love that he can only give. I forgave those who caused me pain a long time ago, and by forgiving it freed me, I turned it over the the ultimate judge. Even with our differences in beliefs, I want you to know that I think you are a very special lady, you are direct, honest, and pretty talented! ❤

Those years with our kids are very brief. My son started pulling away around age 12. He left for college, then grad school, and we saw him infrequently. He moved in for a while between relationships, then we all lived together while our home was being built after we sold ours to him. When our first grandchild was born, we spent lots of time with him and the baby on weekends while mom worked. Like you, we did all the child care, and it was my son who had the more flexible schedule, so we saw him often. He would often be here on the weekends on the day when my DIL worked. Both grandchildren are in school full time now. This is the second year for that. The sadness persists. Because things have changed. No more babies, and we see our son much less. That’s the way it has to be. I had an extremely close relationship with my mother, and since we lived around the corner, I dropped in many times a week. It was like I never left home in some sense. So this has been hard. I am fortunate to have my husband, so I am not alone. Enjoy your little one. When that part of your life is over, it won’t be easy. But you will be a flight of steps away, so you will still see her a lot. Until she, too, pulls away. And the cycle begins again.

I did watch yesterday, and l was shocked at the comment you read out, it was so judgemental and downright sanctimonious. I am always surprised at the way in which so many commentators from the USA express their religious views so openly. It just doesn't happen in the UK perhaps we are all beyond hope, but generally l think it's because we are more discreet, and think that religion is a private matter. Good luck with the house plans. It can be a very frustrating time !

And yes, I'm your biggest mouse fan girl, you have changed my life with that mouse. The #12 is the one, I had been using #17 and it is tooooo much! After a lifetime of flat straight fine hair, you are My Hero and always will be. I am sorry that some uglies left your channel, especially Christians, who are supposed to love unconditionally! Oh, us humans, I do believe in God and I do think He is laughing at our attempt here on earth to be kind to each other. My grandchildren don't believe anymore so they call me when they want some prayers and I tell them to do their "MoJo" thing - that means whatever they believe in that works for them. I would rather have a close relationship with them, then judge their beliefs. Love and Kindness always wins in my heart every time!!

I love how you say "My Nikki" In our family we use the term "Our" like when we are talking we will say "Our Auntie Jen, or Our Jamie etc. We have a very small family, about 15 including cousins. 5 of my closest family live within spitting distance. They are both my family and my friends. A lot of people in my life who I class as true friends have either passed away or moved quite a distance away Thankfully, we chat on Facebook. Luckily, I love my own company and crave time alone. Sometimes spending lots of time in company drains my batteries and I cant wait for some solitude to recharge. I suppose having the luxury of having the choice whether on not I interact with people is the thing that stops me from feeling lonely.

It is so funny that, before you said the name of your product for body, I was going to tell you how great Kenra products are. Great minds... Kenra Root Lift really works for me. Your hair and makeup look really good and the bit of cutting did help with the lift! You didn't even back comb/tease it like you used to. I am a Christian and just don't understand why anyone who names the Name of Christ would be hard on others who do not believe/disbelieve/just don't have an opinion. I haven't always believed, and that's for sure. On loneliness: I am a 75 year old widow (10 years now) and just lost my 52 year old son to chronic heart failure which he brought on himself in his 30's by drug abuse. His brother, my oldest child, has been estranged from him and from their much younger (38 year old) sister for many, many years. This, alone, has brought much heartache and a type of intense loneliness to me. With the very recent death of my 52 year old child, I am struggling against depression and find myself wanting to sleep a lot, I believe, to escape thinking about all of this. The only child of my parents, my dad being an alcoholic and emotionally/mentally abusive, my mother being the best mother I could ever have asked for, I don't have a sibling to share any of this with. I pray a lot, try to read my Bible, and just hold on and try to be strong. I am healthy, except for bad arthritis in my hands so I'm not able to do the crafts I used to do. But life sure ain't no "beach". How's that for pouring oneself out......but that's Kathleen being Kathleen. FaceBook is out for me for a variety of reasons but that's ok.

@@MargaretbeingMargaret Here's the recipe. I use old glass jar to soak the cotton balls in. Place out where I need them n store the rest in jar with lid on snug. Hopes this helps. Mix 1/2 C sugar, 1 1/2 Tbsp Borax, and 1.5 C warm water. Soak some cotton balls in the mixture, and put them out near the mess of ants. The sugar attracts the ants, and they’ll take the Borax with it back to their home. Eating the Borax kills the ants! If you have small children or pets, be sure to keep them away from Borax - and always wash your hands after using.

Love you, Margaret - not ever going to unsubscribe because of religious beliefs. My Mother taught me when I was 11 years old to be wary of discussing politics or religion, especially with people you don't know real well. It has served me well. There are a million other things to talk about. Love the way you do your hair---so not exact in the beginning but looks fabulous in the end. You truly know your hair and what works for you. As for ants - omg - I had spent hundreds of dollars on trying to rid ants in the house I rent from. All kinds of ants - black ants, red and brown ants and these microscopic ants. Had dogs until June of last year so had to be careful of what I put down. Terro products worked the best, but whatever you use---it takes days or weeks to get rid of them. I just had a pest control company spray all around the outside foundation for $150. Ants are gone and won't be back til next March/April. Should I see any before that, the guy who sprays will come back again and it's included in the $150. I can not tolerate ants anywhere where I live - especially in the kitchen. Wish I could join you all on FB but I deleted my account 3-4 years ago - it became way too political for me. I haven't regretted it until now--sounds like you have a nice group over there.

The big shocker for me is how obsessed many people are about other people's religion, skin color and sexual orientation. Who the hell has time to scrutinize and judge other peoples lives? I sure don't. This life is tough enough just getting me and mine through it. I guess they must have reached perfection already in their lives, right? LMAO

I’m with you, I don’t know why people care about other peoples sexual orientation or religion or skin color or any of it. It doesn’t affect their life at all. My friend went down to visit somebody in Southern California in a trailer park and they were outside and the person she was visiting, was talking to a neighbor, and this neighbor was saying how she hates homosexuals, hates them, because they have a neighbor who is gay apparently and I’m thinking how does that affect your life in anyway at all. People are way too concerned about things that don’t even affect them at all. I’m kind of a nosy person, but I don’t care what you’re doing inside your house in your bedroom. I care that your hoarding crept out of your house and into the yard because you’re going to bring rodents and bugs to my house and lower my property value, those things do affect me. That’s not a random comment I’ve seen it.

I have very little eyebrow hair too, and what I do have is either white or black...my hair is shades of gray with some blondish streaks ( I used purple shampoo in an attempt to get rid of the 'blonde" which looks yellow to me (btw I don't smoke, nor does my husband) and I too realized I do better if I do my brows in a regular mirror first, then check them close up and fill in some individual hairs with a very fine tip brow pencil or pen. I used to do my brows first, but now I do them last b/c by then I don't have time to fiddle with them (which usually makes them worse instead of better)..If I do them first I get hung up there, and have to rush to finish the rest of my face....oh how I miss my beautiful thick eyebrows (and hair) I had until my 50's when I started losing it. Turns out I have fibrosing alopecia and it took so long to get a diagnosis that I"ve lost a LOT of hair and that hair will never come back Rogaine or no Rogaine.

Margaret (another long comment that is a question, lol)... I noticed that you have brown eyes like I do, my hair is similar in color and the eyebrow colors you used look great...I was wondering what products you used here on your brows and the color names...I've tried a ton of products...the ABH, Revolon, Rimmel, Elf, LA Colors, NYX, Billon Dollar Beauty, Maybelline, Cover Girl.. and more that I can't recall mostly drugstore......to date Elf Blonde works best to outline, BDB Universal brow color works best as a base, and I pencil in some fine hairs I with NYX in ash brown...the overall color is still too dark i. I'm wondering if I need an ash blonde. It's frustrating b/c I must do my brows and I've gone through a ton of product trying to find what will work well with minimal effort and time...I prefer to slap my makeup on...I had cataract surgery in Nov and Dec and boy howdy, having to adjust to the loss of up close vision without the aid of glasses is a challenge too.

Wow, that’s a lot of work! I use - Brows this way 002 Hazel by Rimmel. You see I do nothing but pencil it on and then use their brush to blend out a bit. Hope it works for you.

It always amazes me that often the people who are the most judgemental and the opposite of 'live and let live' are religious. Would their god really want them behaving that way? I loved my life as a widow with my dog. I have ROKU with the KZbin channel, among a multitude of other channels. But now I have a problem. Extreme pain from a hernia. I take Tylenol almost around the clock. Surgery to fix it could be two months away. I don't do well with pain. I pray all my pain goes away. I believe in Karma. When our kids turn our age, they will seriously realize they may have been wrong to give little attention to their parents.

As for loosing followers because of religion ,I have found the least compassionate people are the most religious .Snd I see that happening all the time . Learn to love your own company and find what you like . At the moment you have so much on your plate your brain is on a constant spin . It’s the waiting for people to Pull their finger out and waiting for a building to start and renovations ,it’s murder .You just have to Keep pushing .. Your videos are never too long! You always have interesting and have funny stories to share and pertinent topics to talk about. At least to many of us with more years of life in the past than the future. And the comments are just as interesting, rolling up the rug is a perfect example because it never occurred to me! Give me a box and I do great thinking inside it but don’t ever expect it to occur to me there might be something outside of it to think about! 🤦🏼♀️ Not to make light of the effect on your channel, as a God believing Christian, the loss is greater for those who unsubscribed than it is for you. I have never understood that thinking, it certainly wasn’t the way Jesus felt about anyone and my understanding is that he’s to be an example on how to live by “loving your neighbor as yourself”. I would say more, but evidently they aren’t around to read and gain anything from it. Just know not all Christians are like that…and I won’t try to convert you. 😉 Thank you for being Margaret! 💕

Hello. Margaret! I've been a bit overwhelmed with a lot of new channels on here that I thought I would like, but didn't. I had to go back and unsubscribe. I would like to blame that on drunken subscribing, but I don't drink. So I've been cleaning up the mess and hoping I don't do that again. As you said, it's better than TV, or something to that effect. I had a giggle over the religious thing. 'Nuff said. ~ Giggles. ~ I can't really comment on kids. I have none by choice. No regrets. I was just not mommie material. I also don't miss people when they die. I feel as though everyone/thing is temporary anyway. ~ Laughing ensues.~ Enjoy what you can while you can and move swiftly along when it changes. I'm pretty happy when things end. 🥳 I quit driving because my pickup sat in the garage for a whole year, the battery went dead and it was brand new. A friend came by, and asked if I wanted to sell it, so I did. I order everything online and groceries too. Life is wonderful! I don't have to go anywhere! Now, this may not be for everyone, but it was certainly designed for me. There's a theory (I'm big on theories.) that we don't exist. ~ Hysterical laughter. ~. I'm not saying I believe that, but I find a great deal of comfort in this. When things aren't going my way I just tell myself I'm not here anyway and suddenly I feel much better. Maybe you should try that sometime and see how it goes. I'd suggest you keep it to yourself though. You know, many people just can't grasp things out of the ordinary. Still, it's something to think about. Stub your toe and tell yourself that. Lol. I've spent a lot of time wondering about the fact that everything is made up of atoms and atoms are constantly moving. Then why does my butt not become part of the couch after so many hours of sitting? Is there something wrong with my atoms? How do they not become rearranged? Is it because we don't exist? It's starting to make sense, isn't it? There are many more fascinating theories out there, Margaret. There's no excuse to ever be bored. There's another theory about why we wake up at 3 AM. I thought it was to pee! No! It's when we have to download information from our (?)

Honestly, I was positive you would think I was ready for the rubber room. I'm so happy you take my nonsense as it's meant. We dwell on so much that can't be changed or isn't beneficial to us in any way. Let's delve into interesting things for a change. Have a wonderful day/evening and keep asking yourself if things really matter, since we're not here anyway! Peace and happiness. 💕💕💕
