In this lecture, I talk about one of the most underrepresented groups with ASD - the elderly. Aging populations with ASD are worried about what it means to be in advanced age with ASD as their social support systems fade. There are also cognitive changes that happen with both typical aging and ASD. How do these processes work together?

Bacterial infections and air pollution exposure at any time but particularly in the third trimester are correlated with slightly higher incidences of ASD. I was thinking of schizophrenia; infection with rubella in the third trimester is linked to higher incidences. Basically, just go out to the country with fresh air and no people when you're pregnant.
