First thing I noticed, was that new focus ring. basically how it should’ve been designed from the get-go. Love the new models cool

AGM customer service is awesome one of the reasons I do not care to even try any other optic. I have 5 fixing to be 6 AGM products keep it up AGM.

Agreed. Though I only own one of their optics. I once got a TM-160, my first thermal optic, that had a really strange failure, it started hissing then the screen started flickering and then it died. They told me to send it back, unit was FUBAR, and they replaced the whole thing without charging me a cent. I use that new TM-160 very often and i have immense respect for their CS team.

@@keithm5378 yep they have done that on my Adder it wouldn’t do a firmware update they just replaced it with a new one.

Off to a great start! I was so excited to hear about dual FOV after switching between a 100mm scope and a 33mm handheld when searching. Awesome!

Not a fan of Propitiatory batteries but KUDOS for the double batteries hope if needed batteries are under 80.

I just picked up a rattler 50-640. What do y’all think about the thermal sensitivity difference from the v1 to the v2? Would that be a big step up being in Ohio and dealing with humidity?

Has the LRF issues on the Varmit been addressed? Would the Sector be a better buy than the Varmit ?
@trenthenckell25429 ай бұрын
Yes, the LRF ranging was due to some tilt from prior mount, all Varmints have been shipping with new ADM mount since October 2023. The Secutor LRF will be same sensor, with a 1,000 yd range finder (Varmint is 600 yd). The Varmint will still run 1x 18650, whereas the Secutor LRF is running on 4x CR123. Last the Varmint is 35 or 50mm options, where is Secutor LRF will be in 50 or 75mm options

Yes sir Trent who commented here is the VP of Sales at AGM and his info above is awesome! Thanks Trent.

Awesome the Neith is getting an LRF. The first comment I made when testing the first Neith was “ Wish they left the LRF and not put the IR in its place”. The second Comment was “Wish it was a 3.5 base mag”. I guess 1 out of 2 wishes is better than none.

Neith LRF is in stock NOW in Outdoor Legacy, had to make addendum as I mentioned possible in stock, or by mid-February. Contact Outdoor Legacy to purchase or ask questions, as they have them on the shelf today.

I've been pretty happy with my 50-640 rattler. Just needed better battery life and button layout and it looks like both of those were addressed. The new ones should be a pretty good option! The dual FOV units sound pretty cool too.

ATNs x-sight 5 has available LRF for almost $1100. Its large as all ATN products are and of course as always they have issues. The Neith with LRF will definitely be something i will be interested in getting to get away from ATN

I wish someone that hunted hogs at close range could get on the design team. It's not always about magnification.......I need FOV at close range (25 yds). I have a TS25-384 and I was hoping for a 25mm 12 micron version. Well, you put a a 2.2x lens on it now and dropped the FOV to 10.5 degrees so it is useless as a short range unit. The lineup has endless high magnification models so you need to offer at least something in a 1x to 1.5x magnification. Pulsar made the same mistake several years ago and went all out on high magnification units. Why not offer a 20mm lens option ??? I might add that you also need a German #1 reticle with heavy posts and a lead in gap for shooting running hogs. The reticle posts in my TS25 are so thin I cannot see them on a fast moving target. The older IR Defense and Trijicon units have the best reticle out there for shooting runners IMO.

It sounds like the Pulsar Thermion XL50 1.75x base mag with a 1024 HD sensor is what you’re looking for. Thats about as wide of a FOV and as low of a base mag as you’re going to get these days. The reason for all the higher base mags is because that’s what consumers want. How do we know….because it’s what they buy. If you’ll notice many manufacturers like Pulsar, AGM, Infiray Outdoor and N-Vision have multiple versions of the same optic, one with a lower base mag and one with a higher base mag. In every single instance, without fail, the higher base mag optic sells 2 or 3 to 1 over the lower base mag and the higher base mag optic costs more. We love low base mag and wide FOV for hog hunting because we get super close as well but the consumers, even the hog hunting market, highly favors 2x over 1.5x and 3x over 2x. It’s just a market shift and optic manufacturers and delivering what customers are buying. And trust us, we get it. When the original Trail XP50 went from 1.6x to a 2x in the first Thermion XP50 we couldn’t believe it. Now the 3x XG50 has killed the sales of the 2x XP50. It’s a cycle and things will probably cycle back down to lower magnifications in a few years. Thanks for watching.

So far AGM is sticking to the Varmint series as the LRF models but we know a lot of people would like that capability in the Adder. Thanks for watching.
