She writes such beautiful haunting melodies. The whole Philharmonics album is wonderful. "Familiar" is a favorite by her. It manages to sound nostalgic and futuristic at the same time. It's awesome.

Hi Mike! I hope you're keeping well out there and taking some time to recuperate during this busy period. I love Agnes Obel so much, I can't believe I haven't stumbled upon this reaction sooner. She's a true composer. her album Citizen of Glass is what I listen to when I study or do anything creative, super chill for sure. She has a way of using the older, traditional folk scales like locrian and dorian 'theoretic' scales to make her modern music sound old-worldly. Transports me to some wood elf keep in Skyrim or something idk how to articulate that xD Sending tonnes of energizing energy your way.

Thanks for doing my request. And I am reminded of Kalandra. That's why her voice jumped out at me. I love Kalandra too. Aurora is still my favorite, but Agnes and Kalandra are also my favorites. These women are fantastic. I think she is playing piano. You should do some live stuff. And still check out Loreena Mckennitt "Dark night of the soul"

She has many great songs. Philamonics is a no skip album. You should listen to the whole thing from start to finish. Its a wotk of art.

check out for susanne sundfor. highly reccomended because she is as brilliant as agnes or aurora. "when the lord" is a must, as much as "the brothel" live at cigalle or "undercover" live
