I would love to know how this "record" was made. It may well have been adapted from a real record as "Gentlemens Relish" was a thing in those days. It was an anchovy paste made with butter and herbs. Very clever fake, had me going for a few seconds, because there were a lot of "saucy" songs at the time. But they didn't get quite this blatant. It sounds wonderful, I love that era. I would like to know whose voice it really is.

Is this genuinely a 1930's recording? I would have thought that censorship would have made it difficult to produce such a record pre-war, and the use of "Dick" would have been unusual at the time - a more modern transatlantic import.
