I was in this woman's house last night. I am cycling across Europe and in Estonia now. I was staying at a pilgrimage house and I played this song to a woman there. She made a phonecall and an hour later I'm in velly joonas house drinking home made booze smoking hand made cigaretts eating cabbage soup and she played live in her livingroom. Let me hear a one off cd. And gave me insulated trousers and cigarettes and a note autograph for my onward journey. Incredible evening. To think a Scottish guy was only a short distance away and playing her tunes and she was only round the corner. Mental. I recorded video and lots of pictures And to those that said I was full of shit ,there is a video posted now. I've been over to see her on her birthday and now I will move to Estonia from Scotland to marry the woman that introduced me to velly. I will live in the village next to velly. And to add to this mad story you know a tiny part of the ride. We have a whole book of vellys poetry and art work from 30 years ago.

No joke, I was serious. I really do lose glasses, sometimes while I'm still wearing them. Yes, I tried bifocals and trifocals but the small repetitive movements of my head while lining up with the narrow zones on the lenses made me look as if I had a constant twitch. I wonder, if I had laser surgery, would I still walk around feeling like I was forgetting my glasses??

ORIGINAL: Frida - I See Red (1982). Frida is Anni-Frid Lyngstad of ABBA. The song was written by Jim Rafferty and also covered by Irish folk band Clannad (1983). The Clannad version is more folk-like and dreamy and the Frida version has a very cool music video. The second song is a cover of Roberta Flack - Feel Like Makin' Love (1974), written by Eugene McDaniels.

My jab at translating the song: The sun is hot, Here the chaperone in the desert is the white-white-white sand And a single man who leads the caravan of camels so lengthy. Morning, day, night, are the only clues of time, They've bound the man who is here. And lonesome, the most beautiful in the harem, is the maiden. The sun only resembling the moon. [CHORUS:] Stop! Let the time freeze - so moans the maiden The camel over here will take us to the heavens Now stop! Let the time freeze - so moans the maiden The camel over here will take us to the heavens I've a wide-wide limousine, the speed is immense In the air though, is a deadly gas. And my man, sitting alongside, holding the wheel. Everything I've gotten, that I've ever wanted - A home most luxurious, still the soul feels cold I peer from the corner of my eye at the man, who's looking only along the road. [CHORUS x 2] Here, where the road leads us, while everywhere are catastrophes, In the metal box we are closed in. A solitary caravan blocking the road - well, makes more time. [CHORUS x 3] ---------------- and original Estonian lyrics written out by "wyrdsys" in the comments: ---------------- Päike on kuum. Siin saatjaks on kõrbes valge-valge-valge liiv ja üks mees, kes viib kaamelite karavani nii pikka. Hommik, päev, öö on ainsad ajamärgid. Need on sidun'd meest, kes siin. "Stopp, seisku aeg!" (Stop! Stall the Time!) is an arrangement of Frida's song "I See Red" to which Velly Joonas wrote the Estonian lyrics. The song is played by the amateur group Vstretša which was formed by young Russians from Lasnamäe in Tallinn. Her piano player was invited to lead the young band which meant that Joonas was also welcome to perform with them. As they wanted to get a permit to perform, they recorded the song Velly recommended as an example of their music. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fpeWZ3xoa72Ehqs

She is not russian, but estonian, and as far as i have searched i can`t find any credible source that Vstretša was formed by russians, but please give credible source to confirm. Thinking that every USSR thing is credited to russians is absurd - there where many nations in this bullshit called - USSR.
