I get health check up done every year. It is free and complusory for me as an employee of a public sector bank paid by the insurance company with which they have tied up. That is how I got to know that I have fatty liver.
@AgnesMann Жыл бұрын
Is the health check as extensive as the one I did? The general health check can be done on NHS but it’s usually just a questionnaire plus blood test and if anything is discovered from the blood you can get this investigated too. But for the price I paid I think here in India it’s very reasonable to get it all checked once every 5 years at least and smaller blood test check ups every year to make sure all is in order
@completefuss7715 Жыл бұрын
@@AgnesMann Yes it is almost as extensive, I would say. This is because my company pays the expense of medical check-up. Only 1 or 2 tests might not be there. But, all major tests are available. @@AgnesMannIf we start the diet regime prescribed by religious trusts, we can be sure that fatty liver and all lifestyle related disorders would be miles away from us. I have learnt cooking in their style and discovered that Satvik food can be much tastier than we normally think. Right kind of spices, ghee, nuts and seeds is all you need to make prasadam. Once in a while you can enjoy the fast foods whereas home cooked satvik food makes your body robust to fight diseases. Even the humble khichdi is good for weak patients as well as normal people like us. Also there is fasting regime which can beat chronic aliments along with regular treatment from any system of medicine. In no way one can get obese by following this satvik diet, let alone getting disorders related to it. Also we can get yearly comprehensive tests to see the progress from Doctor's point of view.

The medical test being very cheap (affordable in Steve jobs words) is one of the primary reasons why many Indians think twice before relocating to other foreign countries. It's that good here! Infact health care in India is so affordable that there are govt hospitals that give free treatment to the poor. All these without any medical insurance. Imagine just consulting a dentist in the US without insurance. We have to sell our assets for that. India is also famous for medical tourism & earn billions from that. Foreigners come here every year just to get their big ailments treated which would have costed their whole fortune, if it had been in their home country. So, yes health care being affordable in India is really a boon for all Indians & other foreigners too. The only thing that's expensive in India is private school education while the US provides that for free lol. India does provide free education but it's not recommended for bright future. That's why private schools are a go-to thing in India. Since Indians give the utmost respect to education, here they'll even sell their assets to give their kids the best education. See the irony! Healthcare vs education & India vs the US.
@AgnesMann Жыл бұрын
Yes it is true, although in Poland the healthcare (private one) is also not very expensive and it's known to be very good. Education is definitely better in india than in the UK or USA. Poland has OK system but it does need improvement. Thanks for watching

This is so true. One of my cousins who stays in US had some dental issues so she came and stayed in India for few days(last year during Diwali), got her dental issue resolved and went back to the USA at the less price than what was quoted by a US doctor plus it had long waiting time.
@indianallways5720 Жыл бұрын
Yes it is affordable to the foreigners as they pay in dollars or in pounds but certainly not for the locals. 6000 rupees for diagnosis may work out around 60 dollars so it is cheap for them. How many locals can afford this? Treatment runs to lakhs and many die as they can not even think of entering a specialised hospital. Not just Chennai and Bangalore. Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad has world class facilities and many other tier two cities rapidly developing healthcare facilities. There is no first rank or second rank to any city. All metros have all facilities.

Medical facilities in India in metro, tier-2, tier-3 cities improved lot in recent times. In some states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Delhi, Andhra by par quality of healthcare in as per world standard somewhere is beyond that average.
@PriyaK-cu1fz6 ай бұрын
Not in recent times. All the medical facilities in the mentioned states have been built by congress and have been providing world class treatments since decades. Medical tourism has been a thing since decades, it's not something new. I have seen many western tourists take treatment in indian hospitals , esp ruby hall in pune, since the 90's as a small kid.

Medical tourism is driving the cost up in India. I wsh the west follows some policy of allowing immigration of doctors to their country at a limited rate to prevent brain drain and collapse of the resource in the source country, and keep their cost to themselevs. Pls use such a resource only to avoid delay and not save cost.
