Indian hospitals put to shame many other country's hospitals. The level of modernity is incredible and the people are incredibly kind, I have been a few times to India and count going there next year for cosmetic surgery. True, and the so called developed countries like Canada has a joke of a health care, it takes months to get a simple appointment with a doctor, even in emergencies it could take hours of waiting time at the hospitals to get the treatment. We always defame countries like India but they have a better infra in some sectors than our developed nations. I cant imagine how our governments would take care of 1.4 billion population if we had that many.

@@gargimukherjee1971 I can tell you don't know anything about Canada. In Canada, around 40% of your income goes towards tax irrespective of how much you earn. And that is then used for medicare, etc. As for free medical care, that cannot be done unless you have a referral. So if someone is dying from pneumonia or cancer, but the GP doesn't see it that way, then God save that poor soul! As for people in India paying through their nose, all government run and government aided hospitals provide medical care for the poor at a fraction (actually at discounts up to 80%) of the cost. And remember, we are talking about a population that is 1.4 Bn strong. That is a lot of people. And a lot of medical expense to be borne. Yet, most Indians do not have to wait for weeks to get their tests done. And if you're comparing private hospitals with government infrastructure, then isn't that unfair?

These facilities you are getting in private setup. It might be expensive for common population of India. But for compared to what people spend outside India on health care, its very low here. But let me tell you, in government setup, you might get treatment in minimal costs. Probably rupees 10-20 opd slip, ruppes 150-200 for xray, free antenatal checkups and so one. But the cons are due to huge population of India people have to wait in a queue for few hours. This hampers the doctor patients ratio. Thus sometimes you dont get special room but have to stay in public wards. But treatment part is top notch too. Aiims, PGI, NINHAMS, GMCs all around india. Best part is emergency cases are based on emergency priority dont have to wait.

The total medical bill cost us 900,000 rupees, which is equal to 1 million rupees. Thank God for a generous businessman, who is also my father's employer, who paid the entire medical bill. The problem in India is we have this two extreme ...poverty & ultra richness .... For rich people especially from western countries.. India is the best place for best Medical services at cheap rate due to 5 star Hospitals with Corporate money Into the medical sector... Whereas in rural area or even in Cities like Mumbai ,Thane etc(Both BJP/Modis pet project for Smart City) the basic amenities for poor people or even middle class Indian Society is Very Very very poor 😢... Look at Govt hospitals... No beds 🛌, no MRI etc Machines... Children's in Bihar, UP(Modis ) die due to lack of Oxygen.. Facilities in India for poor are Worst than Vietnam(90% of Vietnam hospitals are Run by Govt therefore will never see children's etc die there due to lack of basic facilities) India is a Paradise for Rich people availing facilities from Ambani etc Hospitals... Whereas Only TATA's & Wadias are the ones building hospitals for poor like Tata cancer Hospital.. Doctor ratio per 1000 people is worst in India Medical college fees for students is sometimes higher than countries like Philippine, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine.. India has a long way to go Just wishing we get a pro - poor/middle class govt which addresses Healthcare & education sector more than giving free hands to corporate sector. Jay Bharat. I dont get it. India can only be cheap. But USA is the best. But why you travel to India.? Dont you have insurance? Do you have to pay for yourself ? Havt you paid taxes through out your life ? What i wrong here ?
@tanmayadas688 ай бұрын
Go to USA you will face bankruptcy if we did any opretion in USA. There is many examples for this. In India if you have a good insurance then you can get world class hospital in fraction of cost. Indians always underestimate their own country.
