The argument can be improved. Instead of asking if the universe in independent, ask if the entirety of REALITY can be contingent, or whether it has to have something non contingent in it. That is Josh Rasmussen's version, and I feel its far superior

One thing causes another thing and dies, that thing causes another thing and dies or stops existing in that way and this could simply be an infinite process and also exactly how reality as we know it actually works.

​@@djaxx587i think because in a chain of dependent things going backwards, it has to come about due to an independent thing outside/separate from it otherwise no dependent thing would exist in the first place. And that independent thing cannot br the universe because we know very easily that the universe is dependent.

I am a muslim but I agree with your comment. The agnostic/athiest man seemed quite polite to me but we don't know whatever happened before the camera started. Also, he isn't answering the questions and is beating around the bush so maybe the other person got annoyed. Regardless i don't agree with the title
