I had NO IDEA this model existed until I was on a message board and someone brought up the subject of 1/8 scale Jaguar models. It was mentioned that Agora was coming out with a ‘61 Jaguar convertible as they showed a picture of it......and then I saw THIS! I couldn’t resist.....I bought the Cobra subscription! I got the package where they send you four packs in the first round and then followed by the eight packs in eight months. I just finished DeAgostini’s 1/8 scale 1967 Shelby Mustang and this will look terrific sitting next to it when done. 👍🏽👍🏽 GREAT video and you’ve got a new subscriber! 👌🏽

I've ordered the Limited Edition of the Cobra 427...cant wait for it to come through.... really cant wait to start it... it comes with the first 5 packs WOW!! done the measurements on the model using a tape measure WOW oh WOW this is going to be massive for a car build...1:8 scale blimey

For the tires on my 1/8 scale Shelby Mustang, I put them in a food dehydrator and set the temp for 150 degrees and put them in for about 10 minutes. After that, they were nice and soft and the wheels went in with no trouble. DeAgostini recommends the hot water too......the dehydrator was easier for me since it sits right on my table in front of me. 👌🏽

In Stage 5, I believe you placed the exhaust tip on the wrong end of the pipe.

The Shelby Cobra which we're building here is also in the movie "CHARLIES ANGELS - FULL THROTTLE" where Maddison Lee played by Demi Moore, drives it down the street with the angels in pursuit, but hurts me to see a good car go to scrap the way they crashed it in the movie in the end when it crashes into the theatre.

I painted the outlets of the exhaust mat black on the inner side to give them more of a exhaust look. Better this way

blimey it came through today, all 5 packs didn't come, but contacted them, they said that have already paid for the first 5 packs but they dont all come at once....which is what I thought it would happen as it is my first time with agora models, they could have said it more clearly that you dont get the full 5 packs at once, if you know what i mean... I checked out the first pack and blimey oh WOW!!! the metal parts are heavy, it's got some weight to it....blimey cant wait til I start it though, might leave til i get a few packs all together before starting, this way, it would give me something to do.

Well, I finally decided this is the build I am going to do. Put my order in today. Although I went for the basic model over 12 months. I do not think the extra nearly £290 for the limited edition is worth it. I found out via the Agora forums, that they are going to release a general display stand for their model car builds later. So I will probably buy that stand for the Cobra later.

I think you made mistakes with the exhaust pipes. At 21.49 It looks like you put that end plate over the ends of the 4 pipes, the wrong way round. I think the nut detail should be facing towards the 4 pipes, not the other way round. When you attach it to the car later, the nut detail will be facing outwards. The way you did it, I think is wrong way round. Same with other exhaust at 25.12.

However, does this thing not come with instructions? I ordered the complete kit and I have been through every box in here and I have not found any instructions or my book on the history of the Shelby Cobra. Please help me out here.

Wow, that's not good. This may seem strange but I have no internet or cable service into my house since my girlfriend and I don't really watch TV. So I'm going to have to try to put this car together looking at the instructions on my phone. Had I known this beforehand I might not have ordered this model. And I also didn't get my book on the history of the Shelby Cobra! Not to happy right now!☹️

Hello Wayne. I've started building my Shelby Cobra. I'm doing it with my phone. I did finally get cable and Internet Service though.😁 There were a couple of pieces on the engine I had to work on and tried to use Tamiya's extra thin cement to glue the pieces together but it didn't hold. Didn't you mention using super glue, and do you use a certain type. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me.👍
