On mine it was nearly impossible to install the cotter pin on the tire that runs the spreader because it goes on the inside of the wheel. I ended up bending the cotter pin on the inside of the wheel, so I'll have to get some strong snips to cut it out of the wheel and start over with a new cotter pin, and hope I can get it through the hole. Also as the spreader turns it pops the bottom of the barrel. It's affordable, but a more expensive brand might have been better for me.

To get even spread put 1/2 down in N to S direction then 1/2 down east to west Same for ferterlize or lime. Raking or pulling a light drag, or chain drag etc wil help disperse or cover seed a bit We put straw down one afternoon afternoon after seeding. High winds came through first night and blew straw, seed, ferterlize all away. Had to redo. Look at weather forecast fir rain and winds. I try to seed hours before nice rain is forecast. Great help. BTW Do you recommend this seeder or wish u had bought another? Would a Frint mount be easier to watch and distribute ?

The settings should be on the back of the bag on whatever product you are spreading. If it doesnt have an Agri Fab indicated then check the web site or call the company.

I bought one of these and only able to spread about 20 bags of lime and fertilizer before it broke th gears. Don't waste your money.

you said you set those tires to 30PSI - NO WAY. Maybe 3 PSI. 30 will cause that tire to explode harming the operator.

Hey Andrew thanks for stopping by and supporting the channel! The tires were inflated to the printed psi on the sidewall. Make sure you don't exceed the recommended psi!

The Agri-Fab spreader is inferior. Cheap control cable and gearbox assembly. This will not last. Not recommended.

Man did yours break? We haven't had any issues yet. You should try contacting their customer service, they were pretty great when I contacted them regarding my roller.

I have this spreader and it is the worst piece of yard equipment I have. I use it 2 times a year and parts keep breaking. The axel broke several times, the control is made of plastic that breaks. The axel I ordered came with the gear frozen and would not turn. Today the plastic flow slide broke. Don't buy it! This guy has a new one, wait till it's a year or two old.
