All Creatures - I almost always win with Materials Outlet & Stone Carver. Haven't played Cave/Cave in a while (good game though).

We (Jacob and I) had another game last night and drew Barn, Inn, Animal Trader, and Conservatory. We both had a great game. Those buildings are awesome!

As a lover of the small 8"x8" box size, I'd like to mention that the expansions - which I have - fit perfectly well in their original small boxes (and also include the shaped resources). Win-win!!

Yes, totally worth adding Era II. It lengthens the game time (obviously), but well worth adding in.

4:45 Guys, here’s something you missed! The Agricola ACBaS comes with the farmer meeples, instead of the player disks just as the resources you mention.

I have Agricola: ACBS BB and my cousin has Caverna: CvC BB. We love them both. We play them a lot during our lunch breaks at work 😊 still have yet to explore all the buildings in Agricola... there's just a whole lot of them

I genuinely think the Big Box of Agricola all Creatures Big and Small is one of the Best values in Board Gaming. Castle’s of Burgundy and This have such great replay value. Love All Creatures. Cave vs Cave is fun but kinda odd how it works and I’m definitely not in love with how the rulebook was put together. So really strange things and rewording of things that leads to confusion. Huge fan of All Creatures Big and Small…cave vs cave I could honestly cull from my collection and not have an issue with it.

I feel like Caverna Cave vs Cave is a complete package even without the expansion, but for Agricola All Creatures you need those extra tiles for sure. But Id still go for Big Box for both.

Agricola ACBaS the Big Box is the game that’s been on our shelf of shame/opportunity for the longest! My wife won’t play it “because it’s ugly” 😂

My only complaint about caverna CvC big box is that they removed the colored shoes on one of the boards. It added a nice touch.

Agricola ACBAS is fantastic. I can also recommend the print and play expansion on BGG that changes the game up. I must have played this with my roommate around fifty times over lockdown. Very strategic and satisfying. The range of buildings really opens things up. Like a new set of cards in Dominion.

Without the expansion buildings, ACBAS has maybe ten plays in it before it starts to get boring. With the expansion buildings, you can get hundreds of plays out of it over a couple years. It's a new puzzle every time and it also makes the move timing more interesting.

Also I liked CvC era 2! You get to use the combos that you built in era 1. It’s a lounger game though.

Not even close. Probably 1/4 or 1/3 the size

I have both editions (big box). And the only thing I don't like, is that Uwe didn't add a solo variant in ACABs (BGG has very good variants in their forum anyway). Personally I really enjoy CvsC solo (it has satisfying combos and is very fast to play, you will like it if you have played GlassRoad too), it's true that era II is good expansion but the big box needed new tiles to feel more variety. ACABs however is a very top edition, it has everything you need, it's fast, enjoyable, challenging and very complete. The best of all is that you can have these 2 player versions with the normal editions and you will enjoy twice as much depending on your mood or playing time.

I own Agricola revised edition with the expansion and some other card decks AND I own Caverna Cave vs Cave with the Era II expansion. Though I have never played Caverna or Agricola for two. I think that I own the good combination for my taste 1. I get the Impression that the two player version of Agricola is quite similar to the original while the Caverna two player version is quite different from Caverna. But I might be wrong. ;-) 2. I prefer Agricola because I love all the cards, which dont exist in Caverna. For a more sandboxy game I have the masterpiece Feast for Odin. I can really recommend Caverna Cave vs Cave Era II. It's a reeeeally special Exp. as it doesnt add components and rules to the base game BUT you play an Era II right after Era I. Of course this leads to not having a playtime of 30-45 min but about double the time. Some migth think this is too long for such a game, but IMO as long as there is enough time then you should play both eras. But you should decide before starting the game, because you will play Era I slightly different then, because you use Era I also to prepare for Era II (like saving ressources) which you wouldn't do when you just play Era I. AND there is a mode that speeds up Era I by just having something like a drafting before you then really start playing in Era II. But still this can take 10-15min, so you dont save too much time. Honestly, I would even love an Era III. ;-)
