The best deeres ever built they were the next generation after the 50 series and the last generation b4 tec and screens and ad blue in other words they were perfection that's why a good 6910 is still over 30k

7800. Amazing tractor
@bonzolo23584 жыл бұрын
If have a story to tell lads, back last year around spring, I was rotavating a field with my 7800. I had been doing so for 4 or 5 hours at that point making sure the soil was nice and fine. But then after awhile I started seeing smoke coming from the front of the cab from under the bonnet, then I saw fire coming up around the cab. So I hopped out as quick as I could to try and stop it and smother it with clay. But it was too late. The tractor was up in flames. And I had just spent 6 grand on 2 new front tires which were now nothing but black smoke. 2 fire brigades had to be called but by then the tractor was done for. Our finest tractor, destroyed by an exhaust fire. Sad times. It’s charred chassis now sitting in our yard, eating to be scrapped.

The 7.6 and 8.1 are my favourite motors. And for good reason,, ok I know they are old school and have small design flaws when it comes to efficiently creating power.. But trust me the 7.6 will do 200 on the shaft and the 8.1 even more. Infact the 8.1 is more like 300.... These tractors are the dogs bollox in my opinion, and yes I have driven them, these were the last of the proper old school,, things have gone horrific gay now,

What did you do to that engine to get 200hp? It came stock with 145hp we have a chipped 7820 that they say gets 208 but I don’t think it’s doing that but it kicks the 7800 all over the place on the silage cutter

When we bought it their was an issue with the rear pto auctual both pto's weren't working properly. The agreement we had with the dealer was he would sort the rear and we would look after the front ourselves. When he repaired it to test the repair he put it on the dyna. It was actually over 200hp at the test. I'm no expert on JD's or wouldn't ever clame to be but that's what it was on that day. As to the front suspension every 10 series I have driven here including my own has it just shows you what I know I suppose!

Tom Carrigan ok well must be an option and we are to cheap to add it lol, maybe they come turned up there too, less emissions or something?

@@henryhenry903Mabe it's something to do with where their manufactured now as I said no expert here but aren't some built in Germany for the European market and some in the US? As for the HP id say the pump was screwed up we turned it back and still have loads of power for anything we need it for. 👍
@henryhenry9035 жыл бұрын
Tom Carrigan yes that right we have a 7200 built in Germany and a 7230 from the USA and the power is about the same but the German one is way better on fuel, but if the fuel screw was played with on your that could account for a lot of the power increase
