be neat with a follow up... because while most human mythologies got gods like Tor that fight.... most also have forces or titans that make even ther war gods rampages look like toddler brawls in a sandpit... so while that galatic deity dictatorship might get over ther shook as Tor and set killings.. and gather in numbers to 'intimidate' the humans gods into towing the line as if that alone decides who wins a true war.... that just be the perfect table set up for some of said gods or world ending titans from the humans pantheons... be sort of funy way to end the bullies , even if it is gods by teaching them what real warfare and slaughter is and how much stronger those that are symbiotic are compared to those that are ..parasitic.. as say.. jourmungdir , aphopis, the feathered serpent etc competes between each who can slaughter the most of the gathered divine host ...not even considering them worthy to be taken as a serious threat to anything other then the mortals that in nurturing ther patheon makes them far more healthy divines then ther foes one might suspect.

You’d think the Xenos gods would be a little more cautious upon realizing just how many different pantheons there are on earth. There is not one singular religion that every single human follows, there are in fact over a dozen, and you’d think they’d do their research and realize how common it is for the gods in those pantheons to kill each other, sometimes just because they were bored! Honestly they deserved what was coming to them, I’m just surprised they didn’t realize that they would never be leaving the Sol system until it was far too late.

Actually, you'd think that they should study the various religions as well as humanity and fearfully realize that there isn't a single human God that doesn't personify HUMAN personalities and flaws. Or as Robert Heinlein stated: Men rarely (if ever) manage to dream up a God superior to themselves. Most Gods have the manners and morals of a spoiled child. Now, once you have an entity with the power of a God and the manners of a spoiled child, think about the likely results of interacting with same.

aye... being more civilized as a statement opens up so many potential cool positive interactions between various war/battle or protection mythologies gods and ....the miss treated Titans of various world ending , god ending or just 'world aspect' nature.. now i want a follow up where jourgmundir and apophis competes who can devour the most out of a counter attacking host of alien gods... that of course come charging as a UN-orginased mob rather then any actual tactical threat to the gods of gaia's children ...with fenrir there to just turn wich ever 'big guy' the alien gods brings up into a pile of 'etheral gore' for him to feast on and feed to his children hehehe ..at least aslong said gods keeps the mortals that nurishes them safe from any 'cheating' divine powers if one where to guess how the 'logic' works of this story besides wouldet take much for the alien gods to start lose 'juice' quickly and become much weaker if say the humans not just demonstrated they could win the fleet battles but also... that gods that where equals/symbiotic not despots where far stronger then the oppressive ones tormenting them

Set and Thor? Those Xeno god tyrants are so screwed. While Loki is off being Loki. Poor Xeno's haven't realized they're already in the opening shots of a divine conflict. The first moves made but I have to concede the brilliance of making the monster asking you to kill it.

Gets even more interesting when you realise that of all the human gods, only 3 went to deal with this occurance and none of them are even particularly aggressive or dangerous gods. Gods like Aries, Anubis and Satan were kept in reserve, likely seeing this whole affair as beneath them.

There is another HFY story where the gods of the universe each created their own races (to worship them), but the humans created THEIR OWN gods. A xeno race was using the incarnations of each races own gods to defeat them (being defeated by your own gods would be demoralizing). It...did not go well for the xenos. @@zacharyhawley1693 true but even then they are the "monster slayer" gods that tend towards defending humanity, not the outright aggressive gods, and not even the biggest "god slayer" gods, those would be the Greek pantheon, with the Titan killers (and the titans were the real god slayers, they litterally ate other gods constantly). This negotiation was more an "we can stop you, heres how, we beat your initial forces with just 3 of us, there are thousands of us, and some are far more dangerous than us 3".

The xeno gods seems to be of singular power attribute but most earth gods have many powers and attributes. HEY and what if Odin?? He is after all more powerful then thor but then again he has wisdom, so sending thor set and loki we probably part of the plan.

I thought in Norse mythology Loki was Thor's half brother from Odin shacking up with a female giant or something like that. The Marvel movies have Loki as being entirely unrelated to Thor and adopted into Odin's family partially as a political hostage.
