Torture is awful, but imagine being a hivemind and getting to experience it over and over again. Because I think that's the future the Grey can look forward to. Just going to roll up over their home world with a load of captives and let the victims take their revenge. How long until the rest of them are insane?

Alternative ending: The sky was bright from moonlight and clear from clouds. Far from the civilization Jack could see all the stars brightly pulsating their inviting light that humanity had had been looked at awe and wondered if there was life beyond the stars, from the stone age to present day. He turned around from the cliff, giving last glimpse to star sky unextruded by light of the campfire and massive backwood valley below and head back to clearing where his friends were waiting with some hot tea, after all this far away from civilization one mistake could be deadly. Cold breeze felt nice now after full days hike, but be exposed to elements too long and it could cause problems. Thinking just one wrong step......when he slipped on a wet dead tree root and fell down stating to slide down the hill in mess of limbs, yelling his lungs out. World was all wonky and he could swear there was several cartoon birds flying around his head when he woke up moments later few dozen feet down. Thankfully hillside was not steep drop down like the rocky cliff side he was standing moments ago. "Yeah one wrong step...." thought Jack when his friends appeared on the top of the hill to check on his screaming. "Jack you ok there? What happened?" "I'm alright just thumbled down and hit my head, got knocked out for few seconds, but no permanent damage it seems" Turning his head around checking his surroundings "....although i'm starting to question that since i think i'm seeing lit door down here" "wait what? How hard you hit your head?!" John replied from the top "To knock me out, but come check this out so i know i'm not crazy one here!" Raising up slowly up he started to move towards the light while rest of the groups headed down to him. Behind the bushes in sandstone outcrop* there was barely shimmering light forming a circle and small panel beside it. Jack walked to it and looked the panel, brushing dust and debris off from the cold metal panel, both it and circle brighten blindingly so for Jacks night adapted eyes. With hiss and scraping of the rocks against the circle that jack now saw was also some dark metal, same as that side of the wall in the outcrop circle moved inwards and raised up behind the frame, revealing same black metal with lights siding the corridor inside the mountain. John:"Okey Jack, i know you are good in biology student and outdoor person, but are you sure those mushrooms we ate were not magic mushrooms? Since i'm seeing high tech entrance into the mountain middle of god damn no where and we are not currently swarmed by alphabet boys or military witch would be the case if this was some secret military installation, you guys are seeing same thing right?" was heard from behind and John and rest of the group arrived with flashlights and rope. Confirming, confused and speechless response from rest the group later they all agreed this was not some trip and actually real thing in front of them. Jack slowly entered into the hallway, moving carefully, now armed with flashlight, phone recording and streaming video to friends phone outside just incase something happens to Jack and John who volunteered to check things out. After going trough second such door that lit up when they entered there was corridor with few smaller circles on each side that opened from a touch and push out weird suits and other bizarre equipment racks, none of witch guys could recognize. After going trough yet another door there was corridor turning right and left with doors littering the corridor, until yet another set of doors stop them from seeing whats further. They opened one right front of them revealing large room, littered with terminals and machines all smashed up into peaces, parts scattered all around the floor. "What the hell is this thing, i have never seen anything like this" asked John looking around the carnage "No idea, you are the engineering student here, isint this your parte?" replied Jack After walking slowly middle of the room Jack picked peace from the ground "hey John, this seems bit out of place, but isint this stone knife?" John walks next to Jack, but freezes looking to front the room. "Are those?" "Yes those are mummied remains of humans....and what the hell is that?" replied Jack "How the hell i would know that, you are the biology student, you tell me! This shit makes no god damn sense, god i need a drink right about now" said John and leaned to terminal that was only partially smashed. It lit up from the touch, weird symbols started to scroll on flickering monitor and whole place shuddered like in earthquake until things calmed down, but at that point both of them were already exiting towards last door. Sand stone had cracked and there was bunch of debris front of the door, but the managed to squeeze trough. Smallish platou that they were saying had shrunk considerable by most of it falling down to valley with the stone above the door, but rest of the group was still ok having moved to side just in time to avoid falling rock surface that now revealed that same black metal raising up high above. Group managed to climb to now kinda unrecognizable area that lead to clearing and the camp where group bolted, except jack, who turned to look towards the cliff he had been previously, though none of it was there, having landslided down to valley revealing the smooth black metal that went down towards bottom of the valley. "John...is it me or does the shape of the valley remind you of something?" John turned around "Like groove craft crash-landing in high velocity and shallow angle could cause?" replied John. "Yeah glad i'm not only one who thought the same thing... I think its best to postpone the camping plan and get to nearest town ASAP..pretty sure this place will be swarming alphabet and military with in days if not hours. Those tremors would been enough to trigger seismograph and we might as well say cheese towards the sky, since i'm pretty sure we are watched by satellite right about now..." said Jack and turned towards camp, witch rest of the group was already packing up, least they wanted to be there is further tremors happened. "Yeah not my plan for the camping trip, but you never know what crazy shit happens in the woods.. this time it seems it was fucking aliens...." And this was the per say first contact of humanity with the grays, by what data we were able to salvage from their ships memory banks. Today is the the memorial day for Gray war that ended in total human victory. Who would have guessed that just replaying their ship core file from the event was able to transfer emotions as well and caused every gray to feel what happened in that ship.. causing them all to mass suicide and make them selfs extinct. Well least we won barely lifting a finger and we are now certain there is life in the stars and ones we have met are not dickish as the grays were, i mean fuck those guys... Now cadets this lesson ends bit early, so i expect 5000 word essay on "why you dont fuck with the humans" and no that does not mean literally! Those that are thinking about that, write additional 5000 word essay on "why i as future Terran ship captain wont be progressing interspecies relationships via bedroom"!! NOW DISMISS! TLDR: Stone age humans kill the grays, dont know way out, so smash things until something happens, in this case crash-landing ship to middle of nowhere and die in impact, but ship gets buried by the debris so is hidden until humanity stumbles on it and reverse engineer shit out of it. Go to space, show grays what humans are capable off, what leads to grays offing them selfs before humans manage to do it. *editors note: essentially a cave but just few meters deep cover from elements) Ou god i needed to be in bed hour ago -.- Least i hope this writing was not in vain, idea just popped to my head how to end it. Grammar might be shit, but not my first language, first time writing something like this and its 2am here, cry me a river :D

We have a long history with the Grey's, according to legends & story's from many people. So it is safe to say that if any one managed to actually get their hands on one or more, that their fate would not be a good one. And I'm not sure that it wouldn't be a well deserved fate for them. Supposedly they have been doing unspeakable things to us humans for a long time. So even for them, Lady Karma would definitely be a Bitch. And rightly so.
