I’m just wondering if they’ll put a 12 litre divers bottle on one next, together with a set of wheels to move it round.

I get it for +12ft pounds but on a sub, this is just silly. I'd never be comfortable looking at that thing and I'd totally understand why the wife would be nagging for me to hide the thing away in a cupboard.

Hey Andy I absolutely look forward to all of your reviews! There isn't anywhere else to get an all around review for these guns. GILES has been very quiet for a long time. You review guns that we here in the USA have a hard time getting real information, shot count, real world accuracy, that sort of thing. KEEP UP THE ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC WORK!

this one is definitely meant for bench shooters who dont want to worry about filling often. the shroud is overkill in 12 ft/lb or low calibers but for the .30 in full power it becomes very clear how effective the shroud is.

WAIT. It’ll save you money because you won’t need a dive bottle. Just take it to the dive shop for filling and you’re all set for 2 or 3 months. 😂 Great review. Hugely accurate. 👏👏

Wow Andy - That's a big bugger!!! Certainly isn't one for Bunny bashing on the hoof! This is certainly a niche rifle which I'm sure the bench rest boys/girls over the pond will salivate over. At 300 Bar fill, it would certainly need a compressor to keep it alive, so I can't see many UK shooters queuing up for one. The great thing about it is that it is so different. You don't HAVE to buy one, but you can if you want! Having shot air guns since my early teens, (I'm now in my sixties) seeing developments like this is fantastic. We are so fortunate to have such a massive variety of guns to choose from now, and long may that continue, that it can only help encourage more and more people to try and enjoy our great sport! Brilliant job matey!

Hi Andy, I’ve had the argument over silencer vs suppressor for years and for the longest time have told people to check the patent for the original device filled by H MAXIM which clearly lists it as a silencer.
@danhattersley62132 жыл бұрын
For the UK sub 12 ft lb crew this is obviously overkill. Twin bottled rifles have been around a while in the US used on extreme bench rest competitions where they're pushing 90 ft lb so need the extra air capacity, so they're not having to constantly keep filing the air bottles. You'll often see those without twin bottled actually leaving their air tank attached to the rifle to get around that problem.

I can't help think that lower picatinny is pointless for a bipod? I'd have liked to have seen one closer to the ends of the air tanks, maybe attached to a spine that fits between them? It would have made the balancing lever point a lot nicer, plus, you could always add a foregrip if you want to shoot it standing up.

Crosman sells .177 and .22 pallets that are made of copper and plastic that can break the sound barrier. KZbin had some videos on them you might want to check out.
@Marcus_Shaw2 жыл бұрын
Not much point really. At supersonic velocities the turbulence doesn't help out accuracy and also a very high spin speed can have a destabilising effect on pellets and cause the trajectory to corkscrew. Heavier pellets usually develop better energy from a PCP and retain it better to the target. 600fps sounds slow but the trajectory is entirely predictable so long as you have a means if effective distance estimation such as a laser range finder. Usually people will only use alloy or plastic pellets if they must due to restrictions say in bird conservation areas where lead ammunition is prohibited 👍
@AAROnair2 жыл бұрын
Top trumps in pellets speed isnt usually a good thing, accuracy can go out the window. Stay safe. Andy
@davemartani15292 жыл бұрын
@@Marcus_Shaw WRONG! Accuracy depends on the rifling and the velocity of the projectile. You can have the same type rifle with different land and groves and shoot the same kind of bullets and the accuracy won't be the same. The spin of the projectile is going to depend on the rifling and not on the velocity. Don't believe it? Contact an ammunition or gun manufacture and they will tell you the same thing.
