Just like his words and rap, which he uses to speak the facts of this world, kinda contributes (and makes him part of) of thoses "problems" like capitalism. The whole song is about that difficulty of freeing yourself from something that is part of you, and finding the Balance between being a part of the society yet not loosing your deep and individual self. I personnally feel like it is about that perpetual contradiction we live in, use and damn at the same time... i fkn love that metaphor 💀✨ (my interpretation of it at least ^^')

Also another Thailand ARMY (shout out to Sky_hxneul) was kind enough to educate us and explain that this was filmed in Thailand and that place is called the "Thief Market" Rattanakosin Island's ( Old name of Thailand from 1782-1892) and it was the first international shoping center in the period after the abolition of slavery.. To me this is the story i get from the video.This is the king and Agust D from Daechwita reincarnated to the present. The king is again gained power being a high ranking corrupt police officer (as he is leaving the police station the other cops solute him indicating high rank) But at the end Agust D once again out smarted the cop by laying a trap by getting the king's men to turn on him/by replacing them with his own men. It could also be that he was an undercover/rogue cop because he got a lift in a cop car in the end😅

The ending of Haegum is similar to Daechwita in that the version of Agust D who represents the average citizen has been ordered to be executed by someone who works for a corrupt person in a position of power. The person who is supposed to carry out the execution is employed by the corrupt person in power but they are a double agent who is siding with citizen Agust D. This betrayal gives Agust an opening to kill the version of himself corrupted with power. In Daechwita regular Agust D nods his acknowledement to his future executioner in the marketplace. Later this man frees him so he can get close enough to kill the king. In Haegeum, Agust D nodes his acknowledgement to the man who shoves his head in the barrel of water and he does this while Agust and his crew massacre all the people in the opening scene. That man was the one making the call during the chaos and Agust leaves him alive, nodding at him as he leaves the building post-massacre. This is why the crew doesn't attack him when Agust D kills the cop. He has them on his side. Much like he rallied all the people head banging in all-black at the end of Daechwita. It shows that having someone real to rally behind is a more powerful motivator than ruling with money and fear, hoping that buys loyalty. The corrupt people in these vids keep being betrayed by the people who work for them.
