On the letter he wrote what he was doing and where he would place the gold that he had made. He never thought they would be able to translate the letter but Eta is a genius and mange to. They then robbed his ass blind but they assumed Shadow left that gold for them thinking it was part of his bigger plan to crush the MCU coalition and their backer the Cult. Overall, Shadow played himself 😂

Biggest hint I can think of is a line in S1 where he says he teaches them self defense as a way to protect them. From my perspective, it sounded more paternal than anything. Same deal with how he babies Delta: the way he talks to her sounds like he's raising a young child. As for the rest of Shadow Garden, do you think the shades would let any of them try? Since he won't date any of the shades, and no one under their control would be allowed to date him, no matter how many woman want to, the actual number of potential love interests hasn't fluctuated much. 666 if she can become a shade, the blood queen, Yukime if you stretch (though the Shade's control of her business does make that a stretch), and Aurora if she manifests outside of his sister. This makes the harem nonzero, certainly, but it's actually pretty easy to see why it's so limited despite the number of people throwing themselves at him. And even within that harem, I would say so few have had a real interaction with Cid that it's prefectly reasonable he hasn't fallen for any of them. Closest we got was his talks with aurora, and even then, he seemed annoyed with her constantly underestimating him.

@theglitch5386 Honestly, I think you're overthinking the parental thing. Teaching them self-defense, among other things from his past life, stems from his boredom and his chunni fantasies. Remember, when he died in his first life, he was only a teenager, then too. His mind hasn't developed past that of a teenager, or he wouldn't still be playing into his chunni fantasies. The reason he treats Delta the way he does is because she reminds him of his pet dog from his original life. Most importantly, though, it doesn't matter if the seven shades would let him date someone or not. He just doesn't have any interest in anyone. That's the point. In fact, he has no interest in anyone or anything outside of his own fantasies.

I love and hate this series so much. On the one hand, I love Shadow/Cid only happenstance into making the best choice in any situation. On the other hand, I look at it from the other characters' point of view like Rose, and how it would break her entirely if she knew the truth. I like the other characters a lot and pay attention to the narrative being presented to me. I can enjoy it for what it is, but as I think about the nature of the characters' emotions, it can't help but become depressing. I find it sad that I hope that Shadow/Cid's accidental(At times purposeful) lies never become exposed and everyone can grow old & die happy. I know. I know. I am thinking too much about it, but I love writing and dissecting stories. At the end of the day, this story is depressing if you think about it. Like, ask yourself this. How do you think Alpha would react if she learned that Cid believes all their trials and tribulations is one massive roleplay? What do you believe that would do to her as a person? Especially after seeing how she reacted when she believed he was abandoning them. It is really fucking sad man.

I try to sort it out as much as possible. - - - - - - - - - - - - So in volume 6 Cid was forced to hang around with his classmates because of some sort of incident he was hanging around with Alexia, Christiana & Kanada and suddenly they felt a powerful magic entity coming towards them and everyone had their guard up except Cid because he know this magic owner, Tadaa!!! Delta and as usual she hugged him tight with no care in the world and straight calling him Bossu!!! That trigger Alexia because she thought Delta is a slave of Cid and starts teaching him about current law but this doesn't fly with Delta and she calls her small fry and asks Cid to kill her 😊, of course, Cid asks not to, but Alexia was pissed off and was about to fight and that's where Cid drags Delta in ally and try to remind her about mob-fu law that every shadow garden must follow "Which is not to contact Cid in any situation" but Delta doesn't even bother to listen and Cid knows there is no point telling her and accept his mob-fu boss fate and suddenly another magically strong doggo came in rush finding Delta and asking her not to rush like that, Turn out she is Delta subordinate called Pi she looks like husky breed and when she noticed Delta master is here, She start showing her belly, submissive position, and Delta mention Pi is Dumb girl, Which surprised Cid according to him there could be no dummer than Delta and just in few sec Pi start spoiling Delta master plans. - They are going create haram of Doggo!!! - They will have millions of children!!! - Because 1000 is not capable of ruling the world!!!

It'll be season 3 spoilers if your interested . . . . ; . . . . . Delta gives him a jewel with magic energy in it. Cid thinks its cool to own it and conisders selling it. After an arc happens he meets up with another version of Aurora like in season 1 with incomplete memory, this time she is in the child version we saw not the adult one and she seems interested in the jewel. At the end of the arc he gives it to her, after recieving it she starts forming a creepy grin and Cid asks her what was in the jewel to which she replies "My Malice". Guess somehow the evil memories of Aurora that was not present in s1 and Lawless City comes back through this idiot who somehow got Delta to dig and find it and gives it to the only person in the world it was meant to hide from. Cid is a genius in a way. Also keep in mind that Aurora is inside Claire so she will bear the brunt of his consequences.
