Oh yea I know this case! I read the book called Demon of Brownsville Road, if I remember correctly. I'll double check. But the book was a really good read and plentiful in the creep factor. Of course it was far more details in the book since naturally, everything that happened couldn't possibly be crammed into an hour long show. For every horror shown in this episode, there's at least ten or more in the book. This poor family went thru absolute hell... literally! I think their strong faith in God and family unity was how they were able to deal as long as they did!

I gotta say, it's sometimes intense being Catholic. The demonic hates us especially because of The Holy Eucharist, which no other faith has avowed. This is a fine example of His Almighty power, and I'm glad to see this testimony. I especially liked the determination of the home owner and the calm certainty of the priest.

It is intense but there are a lot of things I do not agree with as far as the church. I was raised Roman catholic, baptized and confirmed 😂 I feel that they are very hypocritical. If u are divorced, had children out of wedlock, not baptized, and so on, u are not "a child of God or in a state of grace" I do not necessarily agree with that. Their way of thinking contradicts the message of Jesus christ! Remember Mary Magdalen? Remember the criminal crucified next to him? That is why I've stepped away from the church. Not my faith nor my relationship with the lord but organized religion, as I feel it is very flawed. The church I grew up in, my parents, aunts, uncle's and cousins were members of, and that my parents, aunts and uncle's attended catholic school at as well, refused to do my aunts funeral mass because she was divorced! At another family funeral they were giving the eucharist and the priest would nor give it to my 7 year old sister because she wasn't baptized and while I know that is a mandatory sacrament it wasn't so much that he did that but more so that he told my 7 year old sister she wasn't baptized and therefore not a child of God! What kind of man, priest, human says that? To a child no less! I honestly don't believe in original sin either. I agree with other Christians denominations who believe that baptism should be done when u are old enough to understand sin and your commitment to the lord and the sacrament of baptism. There are some things I just don't believe in or agree with. I also don't believe in the rapture 😂 catholics do not believe in it, They believe in a gathering after Christ's second coming but not the rapture. That's one thing I agree with 😅

I will have to disagree with you. After my grandfather died, he would visit every night just as I got into bed. He did this for two weeks then stopped. I think he was just checking up on me, (he lived with us when he passed). There was nothing evil or disturbing about it. I don't believe in demons or angels as I am not religious but I think that there is evil. Could it be aliens who have been trapped here for millennia? That would be my best guess, at least for me. @Melanie D I think some cases are genuinely paranormal but not all. Others are just sleep paralysis and nothing more than that. It is a confirmed condition and it's not that uncommon. I've had frequent sleep paralysis events ever since I was a little kid. It's understood well enough to know it's a type of sleeping disorder that causes a person to be awake and asleep at the same time for a while. At first it scared the living shit out of me for a long time, then I learned to control my own fear and now it's actually enjoyable lol. The point is figuring out which is paranormal and which is neurological. Most of the time it's the latter.

I experienced the same thing as the daughter with a dark figure next to me and I couldn't scream. I am an Afghanistan veteran but nothing scared me more than that entity. I also have had a curtain fall down in the room next to my bedroom around the same month. My exact thoughts too... They lived with what they called, "Casper the friendly ghost" for many years, then all of a sudden decided to pick a fight with it... Seriously??? Don't fix or mess with what's not broken! If you don't have a problem with things that go bump in the night previously,after living with it for many years... just leave things alone and keep peacefully coexisting. That's what our family has done for the past 20 yrs. and will keep on doing. Every now and then someone visiting will come in with a holier than thou attitude and get the snot literally scared out of them. They were warned, decided not to take it seriously and paid the price and will never come back, which we don't mind at all.

Father Chad Ripperger, a Catholic exorcist priest, always says to people who are moving into a house to have it blessed by a priest. Mainly because you never know what happened in that house and that even if it is brand new, you never know what was going on when it was being built at the time. The case in this episode is a prime example. He had a case where the house was brand new, but the family experienced a lot of what this family in this episode went through and that they have been spiritually cleansing it for some time due to infestation. He also said that priests can say exorcism prayers for a house or building to drive out anything evil in the house because a house blessing can only go so far. It's like poking a bear with a stick with a house blessing while a mass in the house or an exorcism can hit them way harder. My hat is off to this father who stood his ground and with God won the battle not just for himself but his family. That is how a father protects his family spiritually.
