I wish I could do this. Your program is so interesting and the cost seems so affordable for such a rare sport (or art, or whatever else it could be considered). Unfortunately, not living in the UK, it would be quite difficult to join. Thank you for the videos.

Thanks. There are however schools all over the world, many in the US. Go to the HEMA alliance forum and have a dig around or ask there, you may be able to find a club nearby.

@Supercucu123 They aren't bokkens, they are shinai. At the time the footage was shot the club used the shinai as an entry level training tool, being cheap and safe. Since that time, the Knights shop synthetic range have entirely taken their place. In essence, they were a neccessary evil until something better (in terms of cost and safety) came about. Most people advanced quickly to steel in the club, the synthetic swords have done wonders for us.

It's not like this. Where I'm at, no mixed weapons training, 0 polearm practitioners, and 0 sword and shield instructors. I've always loved your videos and found the spear vs sword fights to be enlightening. I have done sparring after that and have come to the same conclusions (that spear is far more effective than sword), which was eye-opening to say the least.
