thanks for posting this video. my audio technicas ws1100is died after less than 10 years of use and putting the ear pad on was a joke. my seinheisser still work and i like their snap on ear pads, thats the best.

Great video! For anyone considering buying Brainwavz ear pads, I was going to return them as the sound was horrid compared to the stock pads. I realised the Brainwavz don't have the plastic ring inside like the stock. Remove the plastic ring from the stock ones (it holds the cloth and pads together with glue) before throwing away. Insert the plastic rings into the new ear pads, ear side in. Total sound transformation. Do not throw these rings out!

@@accessoryhouse The memory foam creates a much better seal than original, so bass is better. However these rings (not sure if the ones in the video have the inner plastic ring?) bring the mid bass and mid range back nice and solid. It seems most ppl struggle to retain the sound signature of the original pads, and I'm certain it's the rings that's the issue. With this setup it's slightly less harsh as the pads are thicker than stock, and improved in everyway. I'd say the sound is slightly darker but that's it.

I ordered from them recently, and I was so excited to finally have the BrainWavz XL Sheepskin, as it is on sale. Now I have found out, and hopefully it will be resolved, that buying from them directly is a tremendous mistake, as they are unresponsive to emails, and their shipping time can be months and months. I'm hoping I get news after the weekend, but I'm not holding my breath. I hope I don't have to wait so long that when I move, I will have to risk them being lost in transit, as many people are reporting 5+ Months, for any shipping or even being notified/responded to via email. If anyone has any wisdom on this that could help, it would really be appreciated, even if this comment is old.

I am based out of the uk unfortunately. I don't have the headband for sale. I only have the ear pads. Sorry I could not help you out more

I think they will be too small, especially if you are using originals. Their back skirt is very tough and not easy to manipulate

@@oskarr777 No, mine did not have that tape. I think that would be an older model or one of the first sets of that model released and then they removed the tape later as it was not needed. That tape has no effect on the installation of the ear pads.
