To anyone having a hard time popping in the ear pads into the clips--just use the blue scraping tool to push the edges of the ear pads under the clips. I tried it instead of using my finger and it was way easier.

Brilliant instructions - especially helpful explaining the importance of installing the top and bottom clips first! Also I found it very helpful doing the installation in a very well lit environment - that way you can actually see the clips and where they are located. Note there are 10 on each cup (three around the top and the bottom and then two on either side). Good luck, it is really quite easy if you follow the instructions in this video!!

Just so people don't have the same problem I did: If the outer pad is being _particularly_ stubborn about getting underneath the last 1 or 2 pins, it's probably slightly misaligned and you shouldn't try to force it. Instead, it's probably easiest to take it out and start over, and pay closer attention to how it's aligned. If it's aligned properly it shouldn't really take much physical effort to get it underneath all of them.

A wooden popsicle stick works much better than finger nails pushing the rim of the pads below the clips. Thank you for the excellent video on this subject. Of the many I found on replacing these pads, this was the best.. Up close & and focused camerawork combined with slow detailed explanation of all the steps... with tips included. A professional job. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Just fitted these onto my QC25's as I resisted long enough on the original pads! Fitting went no problems at all, 2 minutes total. And as an added bonus, these seal around my ears better, so no more prrrft noise when bass kicked in at set levels! Also might be worth updating the title of the video to mention the QC25 in them or in the description, just to help those unsure :)

This clearly took me some time to apply, but it seems like it worked out just fine. It simply requires some patience. At first I was a bit skeptical about the product and looking up the video made it seem like it would be annoying to reproduce. But the instructions are really good, so is the tool the product comes with, so after all I would recommend it to my friends who also need to change their ear pads. Thx for the effort of making this vid!

Very good video. My little tip - make a soft pencil mark along the rim lined up with the clips so you know where to work the rim in with your thumb. Otherwise, I was pushing against nothing (no clip) the 1st time and just couldn't get it done. Cut my time in 1/4 doing the 2nd ear pad and made finding and clipping under those hidden snaps much easier. A damp soft cloth removes it easily but since I marked the inner half, I couldn't even see the marks and didn't wipe it off. Looks brand new now.

Bought a cheap replacement pair and no video and did not work out. Bought the kit from you with the headband, Your instructions were great, Only use the headphones on a 25 HP loud zero turn mower and what a huge difference. Had these headphones 3-4 years and they get tossed around and one day it sounded like speaker was broke and the ear pad had fell off. This kit made the headphones great again. Watch both videos on headband and it’s fine so leaving it alone. One gets what they pay for, your material and the black ring is much better on the ear cushions.

If it's your first time replacing the pads it can take some time to get used to it. Try and finish snapping the rim under the clips on the side last. There is more flexibility there.

Most of the installation went well for me. I did manage to rip some of the foam away from the hard inner rings when installing the pads. Trying to get the last clips in was where I got stuck. The first pad: I pulled away at the foam to try to see the location of the last hard clips. That started a separation of foam and ring. When working on the 2nd pad, trying to use the tool to press the last edge in on the final clip - this also managed to split some of the foam from the inner ring.

@@accessoryhouse Hi, thanks so much for getting back to me. Don’t worry I’ve found them on eBay. It took me a bit to find them but I just ordered some which look exactly the same as yours! Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me by the way!

Why do the ear mats/inner scrims need to be replaced? Can that be skipped if mine seem fine and I’m only wanting to replace the pads?

Yes, you can avoid the scrim replacement

Rubber rim/bezel issue. Thanks for the video! I should have watched it first really! Before I understood that I needed to pull with quite some force the existing earpad, I've removed the cup's outer rubber ring. The one that is on the rim of the cup. My thinking was that this ring is holding the earpad in place since it has this tab that looks like a pull tab, right at the top of the rim where it sits under the headband. Now I can not put it back. I believe that it was somehow glued or tensed around the cup. Can you please advise me on how to get this rubber rim/bezel back on?

@@sergiu4real which part. The back rim? What is happening?
@sergiu4real
@sergiu4real 3 жыл бұрын
@@accessoryhouse it's the rim on the actual earcup. It's a rubber ring that apparently does not need removing to be able to change the ear cushion. My thought (before watching videos) was that It needs to come off in order to release the cushion's holding ring.

Are the scrims necessary to replace? Just the foam ear cups themselves fell apart?

If the originals still look good then you don't need to 👍

Mine never snapped in, but it feels okay, weird

Some of them will make that snap sound, others do not. As long as you can see the edge of the ear pad under those clips all is well.

What happens when the plastic rim is thicker and it doesn't want to go in and why replace the inside pad when it is ok.
@accessoryhouse
@accessoryhouse 3 жыл бұрын
Not every gasket (inside pad) is ok. It's dependent on the person and their use of the headphones. So the video shows how to replace of you need to. If yours are still good no need to replace. Use the blue tool to get the rim under the clips. Start at top and bottom clip, then do one side. Before moving on to the other side make sure the rim is fully under each clip on the first side. If they are even out by 1mm it will cause the other side to be harder to install. Best to clip in the corners first on the last side. Then press down on the ear pad with both thumbs and push along ear pad towards the other side. This flattens the rim and helps get the rim under the other clips fully. Then go back to the last clip (should be a middle clip on side). Pinch rim with pointing finger and thumb, push rim down and pull in towards centre just enough to get it under the clip (the rim is designed to bend a bit). Push down on pad on both sides of the clip to flatten once it is in place.

Hey I got the cushions on but that rubber rim around won’t stay on I guess it wasn’t supposed to be removed in the first place 🤔
