Enjoy the Smokies! I hiked it in April & May last year. In April some sections were blanketed with spring beauty flowers and trout lilies. So amazing! The downside is the lack of privies...

Not sure how long before you’ll be in the Roan Mountain area but YOU MUST stay at Mountain Harbor B&B and hostel. It’s a cool spot and the breakfast is the best on the whole trail. I hiked the AT in 2016. That’s 7 years ago almost and I still think of it. I’m going to do a section in the area that ends at that B&B. I’ll be there around the 18th sometime. Me and my hiking friend/ trail family brother could have rehiked any spot and we chose the Roan Area. Also, Grayson Highlands is way up the list as well. I’m jealous you get to do the whole thing but I love reliving it through your videos. Just stick with it no matter what. Hike your own hike and just one step after the other. Remember that when you inevitably want to quit at some point. This will be the best thing you’ve ever done. There’s nothing like completing a thru hike. Best of luck and keep it up!
