My ears peaked as soon as I heard the music. Good choice, Samurai Champloo.

This is glorious, been searching for "takedowns grappling" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Keyandon Judo Process - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my partner got amazing success with it.

People wh orespect their training partners, the guy who performed the O Soto Gari was a dick to his partner! I would never train with such a disrespectful judoka.

@@99smite Why do you say that? He was simply explaining the move to the audience around them.
wondering after few judo clips. what if they do not wear shirts, would they be able to do a grab?

I receive frequently this question, I recommend you to watch a viral video where a policeman is attacked by a guy with a machete. the policeman performs a brilliant seoi Nage and control him the ground....without Gi. I don’t have the link but you can find it easily in instagram or FB

I train at a BJJ gym in North Alabama and I'm wanting to start training in Judo as well but I can't find anywhere that teaches near me and my gym doesn't teach Judo so I must resort to watching KZbin videos for my Judo training :(

Just Live You can either get with a friend to watch judo youtube videos and imply what you learned Or you can try to do wrestling. Wrestling is vitally important when it comes to grappling. I’m not saying a sport is better than other sport but each grappling art has its own merits

I train Gracie JiuJitsu at Gracie BayView under PedroSauer Association, and I train Judo at Judan Judo of Toledo, Ohio under United States Judo Association. I’m not advanced, but I’m not a beginner. For what it’s worth, in your position, I would recommend learning 1-3 Judo techniques, but master just 1. Train how to get to that 1 in all kinds of grips and scenarios. Moreover, I would center my training around the highest and easiest throw, Osoto Gari. I might also learn Tai Otoshi and Tani Otoshi... Or Ippon Seoi nage, and Harai Goshi (A pushing throw, a pulling throw, and the main one - Osoto Gari) You can experiment Will throws when they pull (Tani Otoshi, Kosoto makikomi) Or push (Tai Otoshi, Seoi nage, Harai Goshi, Ogoshi, etc), But your 1 main attack should center around mastering Osoto Gari, IMO. You can use Osoto in so many different scenarios and positions. My favorite is the hopping (kenken) Osoto Gari. It’s damn near impossible to defend.

Just asking for anyone, say you’re doing the ippon seoi nage, and while trying to get into that, what would be the best way to remove their other arm when they’ve got a grip on you, like a good one? Just curious because that’d help a ton

How effective is this in a fight without a shirt? I mean people do not wear dogi on the streets.
@Azurelightning055 жыл бұрын
1) In a nogi match very VERY effective. 4 of these 5 throws can be modified pretty easily and can are actually part of wrestling already (sode tsruri komi goshi being the outlier) 2) in a streetfight all you would need in a jacket or shirt. Hope this helps!

@dimi39785 жыл бұрын
How so? The only thing I noticed that was a bit different is how the feet were positioned, but I wouldn't call that wrong since it's very likely a more competition oriented way of doing it. I'm not very experienced though so feel free to illuminate me.
