I'd say in reality it's much lower in terms of fleet numbers. (in towns Peugeots and fords are quite common) Police miles traveled on the other hand could be pretty close, as all motorway patrols are either German, Volvo, and occasionally the odd land-rover

My local police had Evo Xs, Imprezas and Jag XFs.. the joys of living in a street racing hotspot (south Essex). Historically though we've always had a LOT of Fords since until the early 2000s (i think roughly), they were built on our doorstep. The engines still are mind you. But recently Essex police got some Mustangs so the cool chase cars are making a return. Since we're quite rural where we are though we've always had Land Rover Defenders and Discoveries in the car park, so there have always been decent cars for the police alongside the boring AF astras.
