DXRacer released an Air Pro variant. Idk what are all the changes, but they add a magnetic lumbar pillow. I picked up this chair because I wanted to try out a mesh chair and this chair was at ma local retailer for 350€, which i instantly bought. IT IS AMAZING. I am 180 cm (5'9") and 74kg (164 lbs) and I think I am the ideal size. My legs never hit the side plastic, the mesh feels incredible. The issue with that bottom plastic row that you said is a deal-breaker is fixed on this model with the pillow, as the pillow forces you to sit a bit more further and you naturally do not come into contact with the plastic frame. The recline and rocking is amazing. Armrests - amazing. I never sit crouched - I always sit the proper way - that means the fact that the chair enforces a proper sitting position on you is a non-issue for me. I took couple of days for me to get used to the new angles, but now I really feel like i am sitting in a healthy position and I reap all the benefits of gaming chair (the recline and armrests) + the mesh. It was 32 C outside and I felt incredible.

Man I love your reviews, Ive been considering a titan 2022 and I see a lot of comments everywhere about how gaming chairs are a waste of money but for me the issue with office chairs is they're either super cheap, bad and ugly or super expensive and with some rare exceptions, still ugly. There seems to be almost no options for good office chairs in the price range of a titan 2022, which is worse here in Mexico, yes I'd love to buy a HM but im not paying four or five times as much as a titan, also given the fact only the most expensive executive chairs have headrest it makes it difficult to understand the logic of picking an office chair over a titan 2022

I have a 2022 EVO Titan with the Hybrid Leatherette and i love it.. i work from home Mon-Fri 830am-530pm and then regularly game or watch Netflix in the chair after work and have no back pain. The noise I experienced was a squeak from the leatherette of the buttrest and backrest rubbing together which i fixed by sliding a paper card between them (a lubricant probably would've done the same thing). I literally sit in this thing over 50 hours a week and have never had backpain. The adjustability is second to none and the leatherette is easy to wipe pet hair off of compared to mesh chairs.

I snagged the Dark Knight edition of the Titan Evo 2022 after your review (I used the link I swear!). I have never felt so satisfied sitting down in a chair. It immediately feels high quality, and is so comfortable and adjustable. Only downside is I am a bit taller and the magnetic pillow tends to be problematic. If I move any bit in my chair and it causes my head to rise or sit lower than when I adjusted the pillow, it will move around a bunch behind me and kind of get in the way. If it had a slightly stronger magnet to hold it's place better, this issue would completely vanish. In terms of how big a problem it is though, I'd say it's a 2/10, barely a complaint.

I discovered your channel three years ago thanks to this video after I had bought DXRacer Air. Now I ordered an HM Embody which I have just learned that it is your favorite chair! I am so excited. DXRacer Air is way more comfortable than the way it looks but it is just cheaply made. The most annoying thing is the hard plastics all around the chair. Also, the mesh is tough but I don't have many issues with it honestly. I was so torn between Aeron and Embody and tried both so many times at the local store but went with Embody since I felt like it is so much more flexible than Aeron and I preferred every aspect of it except lumbar support compared to Aeron. I also don't like that there are different sizes of Aeron, C size was okay for me but still, those plastics may bother me one day (not as much as DXRacer Air for sure though haha). Anyway, thank you for your awesome videos and keep up the good work, you are literally the best reviewer I have ever seen on KZbin.

Want to start of by saying that I really like your content and appreciate the work you out into your videos! Then I have to correct you a little bit. This is the second video of yours that I watch. I don't know if you are looking at a script on a monitor or not, but you seem extremely confident infront of the camera. Sure you might have some bumps here and there, but everyone does. What you don't do though, is stutter and say "ehm", "oh", "and umm..." etc. Really nice overall, confident, extremely informative, clear communication, clearly showing an example of what you mean and what you're talking about. Really nice overall. Now I don't have anything to critize about your video, but 2 things I noticed about this video: First is regarding the arm rest, it's not a big thing, seeing as many can miss one or two things, but seeing as it was an bigger innovation from their previous chairs, I think it's worth some extra digging. Where the reason for the arm rest being magnetic is because Secret Labs has different materials for it. You can purchase an more luxurious arm rest seperately if so wish. Secondly, which is something I have only ever seen in one chair review on KZbin before and that I don't understand why no one ever mentions it, seeing as it's to do with your posture in the chair, more specifically your legs. It's the seats angle. I tried the NobleChairs HERO previously and the seat was titled in such a way that it felt almost like I was sitting in a potty, like when you were young. Your ass gets low and your legs gets high, so they are in a 80 degree angle almost and over the long run, you'll get fatigue on the backside of your thigh. Not pleasant at all, especially considering the price tags of these chairs. I wish they would implement a feature where you could use a lever to adjust the angle and tilt the seat itself, independently a bit. Other than that, great review and video overall. Keep up the good work! :)

This must have taken a long time to write. I appreciate you writing such a thoughtful comment. If I feel something off with the chair, I'll def recommend it. Only one chair in the business that's not an Aeron has the seat tilt and it's the sidiz chairs.

Late to the party, really enjoy your comparison and review videos. When I moved in 2020 I ended up buying some generic, no brand, gaming chair just because I needed something quickly as I got set up. But it’s never been comfortable and if not for a Purple seat cushion I wouldn’t even be able to use it. So I’m looking to replace. Anyway my questions are: Now that it’s been 7 months since you made this, how would you say the Titan Evo is holding up? Also, at 6’ and a portly 224 pounds, would the Regular be okay? The seat depth of the XL gives me concerns about long term comfort. Thanks and thanks for all the great content. Subscribed!
@Ahnestly2 жыл бұрын
Hi! So I just did a sizing guide of the XL with some ladies (you should see it Friday) and it really comes down to your leg length. I had a 5'6 girl who couldn't touch the floor with any chair, and then a 5'3 girl who was almost feet flat on the Regular sized chair. The most interesting finding of all though, is that the XL had NOTICEABLY softer cushion out of all the chairs and most of the girls picked up on that. If you need real dimensions, the seat depth is 20.25" on the XL, and height off the ground is 18". the 5'10 girl had her feet flat on all 3 chairs, and her in-seam length is 31 inches. If you find yourself concerned about where your feet terminate, you can get a footrest. It really helped those who felt the seat touching the back of their legs! Hope this helps! If you decide to pick up, please consider using my link! Helps this channel a LOT!

I know the all mesh dkracer would be the logical choice but aesthetically I'd prefer the secret lab ones hands down. Hoping to hear a reply from you!

Hey so the fabric one does do a better job at dispersing heat, but with any fabric chair, it's still going to retain some heat. Mesh is just on another level. I will say the titan evo 2022 has been the overall preferred chair when my friends come over to test both chairs!

I just ordered the 2022 Titan Regular, I was slightly worried because weight was nearly the limit before it suggests going for the XL, but my height was no where near the recommendation for XL. I’m 5”8 210-215lbs, I just hope the chair doesn’t start creaking! (My current chair is a creak disaster). Thanks for your review

Thanks for the amazing video! Stuck between these two, I'm 6'2 and 154 lbs. I live in a relatively warm country. I also worry that the dxracer air armrests will tear overtime as they have on my current dxracer (and can't see them selling them seperatley). I'll give you my short story, this year I decided to look for the perfect chair, prove razer izkur, after 4 hours my back was bothering me, buttocks asleep. logitech embody, I never got the comfort that it should offer me for its technology and price. secretlabs titan, it took me a bit to adapt because the seat was not as comfortable as my old DXracer Titan Series. I was really very disappointed in the chairs and did not continue testing because the return process is very exhausting.

As excellent as this review was for both chairs, I'm still at a stand still for my next chair. Secret Lab are one of the very few who actually cater to my hieght (5'3) while most others says "up to 6'2" in their description. Which usually means if you're under 5'7, you're out of luck. But the Titan racing style looks unattractive and uncomfortable. And I can't test it out. Several office mesh chairs along with the Mavix and now this new DX racing chair looks like exactly what i want, but they seem to be one size fits all which means, 5'7 or above. Still sticking to my folding chair until something worth their price tag comes along.

That’s a tough one man. You could make a lot more from that aeron bc it’s within warranty but if you regret your choice, you’re going to have a hard time finding another aeron within warranty. You may want to try out a new titan first, but keep in mind SL doesn’t offer free returns

Great video as always! Just a quick question on the seat for the DXRacer - you spoke a lot about the sitting and legs up on the seat but how soft is the seat itself? Is it similar mesh feel like the aeron or at least softer than the Secret Lab? Thanks!
@Ahnestly3 жыл бұрын
No way. The dxracer mesh hurts haha. It’s not high quality mesh, but most important quality about mesh is tautness that won’t sag and this feels like it’ll be a while before it does that!

I just watched this review and I watched your Embody review as I am trying to lock in a replacement chair for the one I purchased at Costco like 10yrs ago. I keep leaning toward the Titan 2022 model because of the excellent lumbar support but I have friends who are trying to push me over to the Embody which looks great but the $1800+ is absurd to me... I mean its just a chair. It's not going to cook me a meal, or clean my clothes or anything like that so I am not sure how they can justify the price, but before I make a decision I am going to stop at my local HM shop in NYC and plop my fat ass into one and see how it feels. I wish SecretLabs had some sort of retail presence so I could plop my fat ass into the TItan Evo 2022 and see how that feels and make a proper decision. I know that one is a "office" chair and one is a "gaming" chair, but if you had to compare the two how would you say the Titan holds up against the Embody? Are these any features on the Titan that are better than the Embody? Thanks!!!
@Ahnestly2 жыл бұрын
I would say the Embody is in a league of its own. There is nothing out there like it. And you get 12 years of peace of mind (almost no questions asked warranty). If you CAN afford the Embody, I push everyone to it every time. That being said, I've gotten a lot of people telling me they love their Titan Evos. Biggest advantage evo has over the embody - much more surface area for support (both legs and back), tall back is better for taller people who want shoulder support. And can do full tilt back. Biggest advantage of Embody is incredible flexing to align to your body. Breathability. 12 year warranty. Hope this helps! Whatever you decide to pick up, pleae consider using my links - really helps this channel a LOT!

@11:49 Please, pretty please, reply to my comment. The way your legs were spread onto the raised edges of the Secretlab chair... 1. Do the raised edges hurt your hamstrings? Is it raised to the point where it would become uncomfortable or painful to your hamstrings if you place your legs like that for a extended period of time? 2. Does the lumbar system squeak when you adjust yourself in the chair. Secretlab is sending emails to people about noise coming from the newest models lumbar system and to contact them if you are experiencing noise/squeaks (2022 models). Any feedback would be so great, thanks!
@Ahnestly3 жыл бұрын
Nope the raised parts don’t hurt but they might get annoying after a long time of sitting like that. And for me, no noise but I did get some at first. Just don’t put pressure on it when you adjust it per the manual and I think you’ll be ok. Ahnestly, it takes a lot of time to adjust that I don’t see why people keep adjusting it!

@Ahnestly2 жыл бұрын
Hey Greg merry Christmas! So all racing car style gaming chairs have the ability to “lock” your tilt by simply letting go of the back tilt adjustor. You can also lock the chair in place if you unlock the back tilt on your chair, rock your chair back, and then lock the back tilt as well! Hope this helps! Liked the review and the Fart factor was something to think about. I got the Leather version of the Secret labs before I saw your review and its replacing my old DX Racer chair that I am starting to feel the butt pain from the lack of padding in the seat (I had it for at least 6 years ). I skipped on the Cloth even though I liked some of the design's better was more thinking if I slopped some beans on my lap / chair it would stain the cloth.
