To improve the soup add 1 pinch of salt (optional), 1/3 tspn sugar, bottle abalone sauce (1 tsp). Because noodles is plain. Soup must be a bit salty and sweet than normal soup. Abalone sauce will give soup a richer taste base. For duck soup: I perfer roast duck toppings, therefore, must have soup base made from chicken/duck carcass, leg, gizzards, neck and mix chinese herbs, just to get the soup base (3 hours steam)

I get very worried when hawkers use paint buckets in their food preparation. I mean, why? Don't they know it's not safe?
