Loved how they wrapped up the season. Agree though that the vampire kids storyline wasn’t great and went on a bit too long and John Lowe was the most boring character ever, and that’s quite a feat considering he was a serial killer cop 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I generally enjoyed this season especially Liz Taylor and The Countess and the James March character was brilliant when he was onscreen 😁

Despite it's flaws, this is probably my favorite season. The hotel feels like it's own character, and the music an atmosphere really give it a sinister edge. Liz Taylor's story is perfect, and I feel like there are lost of great characters in this season like Ramona and Sally! Please do Coven or Roanoke next! I think Roanoke is very underrated! :O

If you think about it : Devil's Night rule is Murder House rule reversed : ghosts can come into the hotel on October 30th, and ghosts can leave the Murder House on October 31st. I have no idea how all these ghosts could ever meet, but that would be interesting to see. Anyway thank you so much guys for your great videos. I hope to see you reviewing more AHS seasons ! Hotel has always been my favorite season and I think that has a lot to do with Liz and Dennis’ unforgettable performance. I liked it even more on second viewing.

Hello Ryan and Greg! I have to say Hotel is my favourite, and although I agree that this season missed a main character to relate to, I love how AHS decided to take a bit of a risk by not putting anyone in the spotlight. The creators could have either had Liz Taylor or The Countess as really related characters to "root for" in this season. However, my take was that they wanted to express two dynamic and almost opposite characters. Anyway, I watched your breakdowns of Cult while it was also airing but I would love, even quick episodes now of a review of the season. I re-watched cult this year and it's so surreal seeing the season as it is with all the events of this year before. It's like I'm living two realities meshed into one. Cult has so many themes now that I feel viewers weren't ready to see/accept in 2017. I understand more and feel more for parts of the story I didn't particularly enjoy (but I wonder if these feelings also come with age XD ) Anyway, thank you very much for AHS content. I could listen to this kind of stuff all day. Cheers~! :)

I just noticed something every character Jessica Lange acted on AHS was the boss or leader of something and became what she was leading in a way In murder house she owned the house and her dead children in there and joined her dead children there after In asylum she was one of the people in charge there and she later became a patient there Idk about coven i haven't watched it yet but i know she was a leader In freak show she owned the show then later to realize she was a freak

This season definitely had some brilliant highlights (Lady Gaga, JPM) and very some very boring stuff (the Lowe family) overall it probably didn't need to be 12 episodes long. There's also some fantastic nods to other seasons we see later (maybe the drill reminded me of Cult), the business fashion thing was kinda dumb… the finale itself had I think too much of a happy ending for a gloomy season… a little bit like Murder House. It would've been funny though to see Billy Dean Howard mentioning her Hotel Cortez experience during her cameo on Apocalypse or all of Paulson's characters in the hotel lobby.

Who would jessica play this season? To be honest they didn’t have a character she would have been right for. At a push she could have played Iris, but that part felt written for Cathy. As for what season to review next, why not do season one?

@@risottopose9970 No, Jessica could play any character but only the ones around her own age. The character 'The Countess' is a young woman who stayed young for almost a hundred years. Also, The Countess has a lot of intense sex scenes, which just shouldn't been done by Jessica Lange. Also, if Lange did play The Countess, the role probably would've been way to similair to Fiona Goode, since Fiona was also 'the strongest', 'the most powerful', and Fiona had a lot to do with immortality as well

I think it would've been fun if Lange would've portrayed an innocent character for a change. Maybe John Lowe could've been married to an older lady, so that Jessica could've played the character Alex Lowe. I think it would've been great to see Jessica Lange as Alex Lowe and her storyline: losing Holden, wanting to divorce John, finding Holden back in the Cortez, meeting The Countess (imagine a scene between Jessica Lange and Lady Gaga, OMG), getting turned into a vampire, turning a young patient into a vampire, etc. etc.

Didn't even think she needed to die. Nothing about her character was truly wicked and when she confessed to Jimmy that she didn't betray him it was clear at that point the writers weren't writing her as a villain at all or even when she refused to take her babies lives for her own. She should have been left to leave with her firstborn

I was ok with the Countess getting killed off, but think it should’ve been someone else. Either ghostly Natacha or Ramona seeking revenge against the Countess or Iris and Liz doing the double tap method. I found John so uninteresting, so I was frustrated that it was him.
