Loving the look of Ahsoka. She has an old soul behind her eyes. Wise beyond her years. I think she walked away from Sabine because Sabine is her at the age. Now she knows what Anakin felt like.

I love how Ahsoka series is not afraid of being pretty much season 5 of Rebels. Hearing Sabine's theme was great. And so were seeing Hera and Chopper arguing about exploding a hyperdrive in the middle of a city. xD Interesting that they are going with the idea of Sabine being Force sensitive indeed but way below average according to Hyueng (forgot how his name is written). Also i can't believed how much a missed seeing a series where we are bound to have lightsaber action every episode. ♥

@@GattsBerserkArmor I'm not well verse on the star wars lore outside of the the movies and shows, but wasen't almost the same case with Obi-Wan?, he had to work extra hard to get really powerful? I think at the end of this show Sabine will get more stronger in the force, at least thats were I see her new character arc going. And poeple saying, she is not a jedi, is really stupid, because they have say so all the time during the first 2 episodes. I don't think Ahsoka would get a non force user oadawan, that doesn't makes really sense.

@@TheDarkOne1920 Maybe. Kanan did say to Hera the reason he was conflicted about training her was because despite the Force existing in every living being Sabine was too closed off. I could see some big moment where she opens herself to the Force and kicks Shin's pretty ass.

What to say ?... Got chills. It feels really, really good to reconnect in such deep, emotional, and meaningful way with these so wonderful characters... This has numerous fine layers to it... This is just so good, you don't want it to end... The way it nicely makes the story and characters evolve is a true pleasure to see. A Star Wars adventure in its purest form. Quite a fascinating journey to experience... #Ahsoka

I am loving this show so far. I feel like they are nailing all the points that I loved so much in Rebels. Casting David Tennant as the voice actor for Huyang is genius. He gives him that necessary sassiness 😊 It's also a testament to Rosario's brilliant acting that we're not quite sure if her saying "you've done enough" is good or bad for Sabine 😅

So, I am fully convinced that whatever it is about Sabine's training that made Ahsoka realize "this isn't working" fed into her own insecurities which fed into her not wanting to help Din and Grogu. I also am theorizing that the reason for the shape of the Eye of Sion isn't necessary for the jump itself, but so if Thrawn still has the Chimera, they have a way to bring THAT back as well.

In Legends, a lot came from outside the Galaxy, like the Yuuzhan Vong, etc. There were also several "dwarf galaxies" around the main one, and Kamino was between the main galaxy and one of those, the Rishi Maze (as noted in Ep2). This last part is still canon, but how far outside the "galactic border" Kamino is is a little hazey. So this is definitely the first time in canon, other than perhaps the Grysk from the Thrawn novels, which are rumored to be from outside the galaxy. and MAYBE the Rakata, which were from KOTOR but mentioned as "invaders" in Andor.

As someone deep into my 30s when these animations started, I am going in cold. I really think they did a great job bringing me up to speed. I do of course have a feel for Ahsoka after Mando. And the study of Mandalorians also rapidly gave me a flavour of who Sabine is. I even could feel why the personalities of Ahsoka and Sabine could have rubbed against each other in the past. That history of Jedi droids was helpful since all the Jedi here are somewhat grey. It is nice to have the pure Jedi perspective on board. The general (Syndulla - had to Google) is also new to me, and although not deeply rooted yet for me, I have placed her. I am genuinely fascinated by Beyland and Shin. They are a new perspective on something between the Jedi and Sith. I am jet to "meet" Trawn and Ezra in person, thus I look forward to that. I get that everyone loves Ezra and Trawn is a dude who is worth taking seriously, though I have gathered that he is not insane on behalf of the dark side - just good at his job. The whole "magical" thing took me totally by surprise. To the point that I am not sure how to feel about it (there have been a lot of dimensions, places outside time and space and multiverses in recent pop culture). Morgan Elsbeth (who I have met before, but never got to learn) seems like an interesting figure of this more "magical" part of Star Wars - and she clearly is capable. (Well, I knew she had to be after holding her own against Ahsoka) - So now I am curious about what these Nightsisters are (I got it mixed up with the Night Owls for a while - hey I am in new territory!) I, as a total newbie in this side of Star Wars (except for Mando) felt very welcomed by these two episodes. I felt I was brought up to speed about the relations as the basic plot was outlined. I totally get that you who grew up with Clone Wars and Rebels may have found this a bit slow and redundant, but from my side (I can only say sorry) really needed to spend some time to get to know the characters that did not name this series. The only thing that did not surprise me at all is KZbin "fans". All the "top" hits told me that all the fans were raging against Ahsoka. Apparently, these two episodes were an absolute artistic failure. I guess that is what it means to be "edgy" these days. So I was happily scrolling down to true Star Wars connoisseurs (who can be critical when Lucas Film makes bad choices but also will applaud when they get it right). These first 2 episodes were by no means life-changing. But I needed the slow spin-up just to get on board. (It is important for all Star Wars fans that people like me get on board. If not, only the much smaller audience of the animated series would latch on, and that is frankly not enough to pay the bills for these productions. It is actually quite nice to go in with a clean sheet (as we all did for Andor and Rouge One). I am really curious about the relationship between Ahsoka and Sabine (I have read enough about Ahsoka to know that Star Wars fans hated her during her younger years). These two episodes even made this old dude giggle - while making me feel that "there are stakes in play" with excess to keep me interested. I am a simple man, wanting to be entertained with some quality fiction while I hang onto my planet orbiting a star called the Sun once a year, to paraphrase the family Fett.

Oh, the Nightsisters are quite interesting. While they call what they perform Magick, it is "merely" another manifestation of the force, rooted in the planet Dathomir, which the Nightsisters originate from. The Nightsisters are the females of the Zabrak species, which Darth Maul also belongs to.

I don't understand how anyone could find these episodes slow. It honestly boggles the mind. I understood with Andor, as much as I loved that show - it WAS slow and lacked action set pieces. We're 2 for 2 on lightsaber duels per episode. We have a fantastic score, great returns/recastings of beloved animation characters, a fantastically paced first act setting up the plot... I can't imagine how anyone would want the pace to differ. But being edgy about Disney Star Wars has been in vogue for years.

I wonder if Thrawn or Ezra or both have been messing around with the Jedi Temple ruins that are still onboard the Chimaera. Those things do have an inherent connection to the World Between Worlds and could be used to communicate. Also, at 10:41, yeah. Marrok's armor looks directly inspired by Gothic armor from the 1500s. Loved these first two episodes! The casting has been great, the effects brilliant and the thematic trajectory I think this has about Ahsoka and Sabine acknowledging or discovering their Jedi paths is intriguing. Despite clearly not being a Jedi, I already love the new shades of grey Baylan seems to represent too. All in all, these two episodes have just been a welcome return to the 'Clone Wars' and 'Rebels' corner of the 'Star Wars' universe that have added a lot of intriguing new points to move forward. Speaking of returning, I'm so glad they got Kevin Kiner to work on this. Hearing his Ahsoka and Sabine themes in new variations is a welcome tug at the heartstrings, and the little hints of Thrawn's theme have got me looking forward to its full force once the Grand Admiral makes his grand entrance!

You are making me like these episodes better. Sabine stole the star map. I think the ship would be harder to infiltrate than the tower; so stealing it off the ship (as an intruder) would have been more difficult. Chopper is MUCH more comprehensible live than in cartoon format. The area where Elsbeth (?) unlocked the star map reminds me of the cartoon episode in Clone Wars where worshippers try to bring back Mother Night Witch with others' force essence.

The show nails the tone and feel of the animation, but only in live action and that’s all I wanted for my white action Star Wars show. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Natasha Liu Bordizzo are fantastic as Hera and Sabine. The stand out of character for me anyway is absolutely Baylan. Ray Stevenson brings a certain gravitas only found in characters like Dooku, and since Dooku is one of my favorite characters, I’m absolutely loving his portrayal as Baylan. I find it interesting that Ahsoka is making the same mistake that the Jedi made towards her, namely being impersonal and treating her as an object when they should have treated her as a person. Instead of the warm, friendly, loving relationship that she had with Anakin, she seems physically incapable of giving Sabine a word of encouragement. There's the old saying that you catch more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. A word of encouragement is worth more than a novel of criticism. Hopefully she'll come to see that she can be more like Anakin in her relationship with Sabine without running the risk of either of them falling. As for the others, I could be wrong but I have the idea that they were all either inquisitors or kept around because of the potential they had with the force to become more Sith padawan's should Vader defeat the emperor or be defeated himself as an apprentice. After the fall of the empire, inquisitors are obviously not a paying job anymore, so they became mercenaries. Like I said, I could be wrong.

"Who could've planned for that?" Ahsoka. Ahsoka planned for that. Sabine put herself at risk by taking off with the map herself, Ahsoka knew it was too dangerous and that's why she told her not to. Ahsoka is just shit at communication, much like her master was. "You've done enough" probably was a slap, because she was frustrated that this all happened because Sabine didn't listen. It wasn't the right way to call her out on it, but again, this show does a great job of showing how bad both of them are at actually letting each other in and communicating well.

Is it weird that after rewatching the scene of Sabine cutting her hair multiple times, I thought that it referenced Kanan cutting his hair in the symbolism of committing himself (herself) entirely to the mission to rescue Hera, In Sabine's case, Ezra. I'm concerned that it may mirror the circumstances too closely and Sabine might end up sacrificing herself to bring Ezra back. I am going to break emotionally if shortly after Sabine and Ezra's reunion she ends up giving her life for him. Not hoping it happens!!! Just scared it will happen as a form or poetic reflection of circumstances...

So being able to travel to a different galaxy is a new thing with Star Wars.. Unless maybe it was done in comics don't know... But there must be a some point in the galaxy where you can travel via wormhole/hyper space route to a different galaxy and that would help explain why Luke is the only Jedi left in this galaxy during the original trilogy , Keeping everything nice and neat... Basically ezra is in a different galaxy.. Maybe he had children who knows... My feeling is ezra is gonna be dark side, Or maybe something else mixed .. With magic

There have been other species that have come from. Outside of the Star Wars Galaxy invading. And because They're not from. This galaxy, they are not affected by the force Meaning you cannot use the force on them And even if Ezra is in a different Galaxy, there are plenty of JedI still in the galaxy at the time luke

If Ezra was back he'd have brought Thrawn with him if he joined up with them. The Theory NEVER made any sense

Not a huge fan of a lightsaber stab being a flesh wound (what about Qui-Gon?). Other than that, I loved both of these episodes.

If Ezra went to the dark side I think a lot of Rebels fans would flip out. Obviously if that is the case Sabine will either have to kill him or bring it him back to the light side

The Marrok is Erza theory is completely farfetched...They are looking for Thrawn...so how could Marrok be Erza when they haven't even found Thrawn yet....because Thrawn and Erza were last seen together blasting off into hyperspace with the hyperspace traveling whales.....Erza can't be Marrok and come back to them and not know where Thrawn is located...stupid theory.

If it is Ezra, maybe he’s undercover trying to figure out how to stop them. Otherwise, he went to the dark side because he had that tendency. Hope not though

When Sabine cut her hair she should have said “This is the way” to tie it back to MANDALORIAN.
