Not gonna lie, seeing the final scene of Ahsoka and Sabine reuniting and flying off took me back to when Rebels ended and how much of a mess I was from that emotionally powerful ending. Also Kevin Kiner is giving us the best music he has ever composed!

As much as I'm loving the character and her (seemingly very healthy and respectful) relationship/friendship with her master, a lot of the clues in the filmmaking draw parallels with Maul - so I'm personally not expecting much of an arc, but I can tell I'm going to love her, Baylan and Marroks stories going forward, huge upgrade on some of our recent antagonists and I can even see the possibility of one or two of them persisting in the Star Wars verse as anti-heroes or even future protagonists - although sadly not Baylan :(

Your love for Chopper made me laugh in a purely wholesome way. I love your love for SW. It rivals mine. I love how Hera has a maternal side with Sabine and looks out for her. She even challenges Ahsoka to get her to see reason. She knows Sabine and Ahsoka need each other. And yes, I said the same thing when Hera was flying; she's one of the best pilots in the galaxy. I bet her kid is hanging out on the Ghost. They were only flying the Phantom in this episode. The Ghost isn't just a ship, it's a home.

Always thought the helicopter saber technique used by the Inquisitors was a neat idea. Since some of them can use the Force, to me its possible to manipulate the air around the saber and the spinning blades would provide lift. You were wondering how they would fit Zeb into the story. The same could be said of Kallus; what would be his reason for getting involved? Maybe we'll see Bo Katan Kryze.

I was glad you mentioned the pacing of the show, which I'm also enjoying....especially the scene when Ahsoka investigates Sabine's little flat in the Comm tower. It felt like when you're playing a video game and encounter a secret room, and find clues and whatnot inside.

Though I don't think the name itself, Eye of Sion, is significantly relevant I do believe it's meant to be a nod to Darth Sion, a Sith Lord and one of the main antagonists from Knight of the Old Republic 2.

It looks like they constructed a giant hyperspace transport ring - like those ones that the Jedi starfighters would use for hyperspace in the prequels. Something that would allow a capital ship to do a galaxy-to-galaxy jump.

Some of my knowledge about the new villains ;) An astute Reddit user, well-versed in Norse mythology, discovered a striking similarity between these new villains: their surnames are linked to mythological wolf brothers, descendants of the fearsome Fenrir. Sköll, one of these brothers, relentlessly pursues the Sun, symbolized by the goddess Sól riding her chariot across the sky, while Hati pursues the Moon, represented by the god Máni on a chariot. A chilling prophecy suggests that during Ragnarök, the mythical end of days, both Sköll and Hati will finally capture and consume the Sun and Moon. Baylan Skoll is inspired by a pair of villains from legends Jerec and the dark Jedi cult from the Dark Forces Jedi Knight game series - used orange lightsabers made of synthetic crystals. For example, Filoni took the Dark Troopers from this game series and used them in the Mandalorian series. Jorus C'Baoth from the original Star Wars sequel from the legendary book series Heir to the Empire Thrawn trilogy, where he has a similar appearance and connection with Thrawn. Huyang (a robot voiced by the legendary Doctor Who David Tennant) talks about Baylan escaping Order 66. I wonder why his sword hilt is so special. Otherwise, the planet with "Stonehenge" will be the place where the Purgyls are born and therefore this ring in its orbit. In my opinion, they will catch the whales that will get them along the star path and since I am returning to legends again, this can also have a strong impact on the timeline and so that we don't get the so-called SW multiverse that would lead to the Thrawn trilogy and not to Rey :D ;) but maybe not, we'll see. And I'm really looking forward to the final showdown and Anakin's involvement in this whole thing.

I'm thinking the Eye of Sion is a reference to Darth Sion from Knights of the Old Republic 2. While it's not canon, the Legends material has been used a ton for ideas (like Thrawn) or just Easter Eggs.

Its nice seeing an Inquisitor thats actually skilled for once. I get why they usually arent but its nice this 1 might be a threat because he is actually skilled like the Grand Inquisitor and not because there are multiple like in Rebels season 2. Trilla was cool but at the end of the day the only reason she was actually a threat to Cal was because he was out of practice and needed to relearn his skills once he did that she was nothing same with Ninth Sister. The only theory I have seen as to who Marrok is that I actually think could maybe be true is that he is Starkiller/Galen Marek their names are similar and Sam Witwer did voice someone in this episode but im not going to assume its him just because the names are similar until there is actual evidence that he could be someone we know im just going to assume he is a new character

We know that the inquisitors name that Ahsoka fights is Marrok. There's a theory going around that this might be a canon version of Starkiller. The name's sound similar Galen Marek, Marrok, there's also thr fact that Sam Witwer is in the credits of this episode as additional voices. Sam is 6'1 and the stunt double for Marrok is 6'1, another thing that adds credence is the fact that this guy was able to go toe to toe with Ahsoka when in rebels Ahsoka is shown literally taking on and beating two inquisitors at once so this guy is definitely more powerful than your average inquisitor. And finally if he is the canon version of Starkiller the mortis prophecy fits so damn well then. Because Ahsoka the light side daughter, Starkiller the dark side son, Anakin the Father who was the balance of them both. It makes too much sense now.

Aside from Chop, and the closing scene being exactly the same as how Rebels ended, one thing that was cool was laying out of the armour and the metallic sound as it was placed on the workbench. I think Zeb could be introduced as part of a New Republic X Wing squadron with Captain Carson Teva protecting the fleet.

I imagine Bo has her hands full with her new responsibility of ruling Mandalore. Mando and Grogu, I don't know. For one, they haven't been confirmed to be appearing in this, and for another, Mando did ask to be hired off record. It'd surely cost Captain Teva his job if the New Republic found out that he had been secretly hiring Mando for certain tracking jobs.

@@saiyan24I wasn't so sure at first but I'm beginning to think he might be Marrok, I got this from New Rockstars breakdown video but, if you watch the coloring of the figures in the opening sequence and notice which are red and which are blue, if you look at Vader he is red as is the HK droid but if you look at Marrok in the second episode he is blue........albeit, he was red in the first episode but the fact he isn't red anymore is a bit suspicious and has me intrigued!

They’d bust Morgan Ellsbeth out of jail, hunt down the maguffin, and then go on a wild journey to another galaxy to find Thrawn…when there’s a guy in a helmet standing next to them who knows where Thrawn is? I'm old. Over 50. I've been to the movie theaters a lot. Like...a LOT. I saw THE original Star Wars (before "episode IV" was a thing) at a drive-in. I've NEVER had a movie projector break, a [fire] breakout, or the wrong movie get played. Streaming services are 1) unreliable, 2) overpriced for subscriptions, and 3) the incorrect format for certain films/series. This entire series should be canned, shipped to theaters and able to be watched all the way through like on a Saturday on the big screen like it deserves. I'm glad Disney is finally releasing the previous series in 4K Ultra. About time.
