@@jerryking5506 form 2 is pretty rare so form 1 is probably more likely given the choice of 1 or 2. It also helps to consider the master as the masters choice will no doubt influence the Padawan. Ahsoka for example learned a lot of form 5 which was Anakin's favored form but not always at obi's favorite was 3 and qui Gon liked 4

It is possible that Ezra kept himself hidden from the night sisters by not using the force. If you watch carefully, the night sisters were able to find Ahsoka (albeit conveniently) when she used the force to reach out to Sabine. Possibly the same way they knew Ahsoka was coming when she used the force to communicate with the Purrgils (star whales). Maybe the night sisters sense "disturbances" in the force (threads of fate) 😆

You mentioned that Ezra not taking the lightsaber was to make the fight more interesting for us, but I wanted to add that I think there’s a pretty good ‘in universe’ reason too. Like Ezra points out, Sabine has been training, but also, importantly, Ezra has not. He hasn’t seen a lightsaber in years, and has likely become so accustomed to wielding the force without it, that the saber might even be a hinderance.

It really annoyed me how coy Sabine was being with Ezra. "Oh, no, I can't possibly tell you THAT!" The whole damn episode. Real friends would have bombarded each other with questions. These characters with their "too cool for school" super chill affect is just really boring to me. It's not a terrible show like some of the other F&F Star Wars shows, but it's also not that interesting either. IMO.

The fact that Hu Yang can just recall all the lines from "stories" and moments from the past when he wasnt there and use cool Star Wars quotes like Leia's "We're gonna get pulverized..." and the opening crawl fits the character perfectly. Ahsoka is being wiser in her duel with Baylan, as she is not being controlled by her emotions and thus doesn't want to kill him, but evade him in order to help her friends. Also, Eman Esfandi is playing Ezra how Rebels' fans would expect him to behave - classic Ezra.

Also Ezra and Shin have been said to be alike twice now which is odd, i personally believe we could see them team up for some reason.

@@scruffd0g193 Thrawn WILL get out, and supposedly it's supposed to set up the Filoni movie that crosses over the storylines of Ahsoka, BoBF, and The Mandalorian. I think they'd probably need to run at least another season of Mando to loop Thrawn into that storyline before doing the movie though. Maybe even a S2 of Ahsoka, too. They can't bring him back to the original galaxy just to wrap it all up in a 2 hour movie. People would be upset, and rightly so.

I am extremely excited to see where Baylan and Shin's paths lead. The way Shin paused after Ahsoka offered her a place with them, tells me that she is being pulled toward the good side of things. She has shown this type of pause when she has been sent out before. She either pauses like thinking "HUH, REALLY?" or she would ask Baylan a question for clarification etc. I also feel that Baylan has a hidden motive to defeat Thrawn and his plans from within. Baylan already has stated that he wants to break the cycle of the rise and fall of good and evil, and he knows what it would mean if Thrawn is able to get back to the main Galaxy and reunite the Empire.

I am a HUGE fan of Baylan Skōll! I am worried though. With the actor who played him having passed away, they have to either recast him, or his story culminates in the finale. I wouldn't be upset if they recast Baylan, (RIP Ray Stephens) but he would HAVE to look and emulate Ray's Baylan, or it would never work. I also hope they don't just kill Shin (but I'm getting that vibe) because her character has a ton of potential, considering the time frame. Luke's out there building a new Jedi order, and Shin wasn't trained as a Sith or anything, she actually has a Jedi Padawan braid. So I think what Baylan meant was that he trained Shin to be "more than the Jedi" by not teaching her the rigid structure of the Jedi, maybe studying more of the force to understand it, as opposed to fearing (and possibly falling to) the dark side.Who knows? I'd like to see more of both Baylan and Shin.

I believe Shin is lost and looking for a place to belong. She follows Baylon because she wants to be part of whatever he wants to create or part of Thrawns new Empire. It was interesting to see her pause when Ahsoka offered to help her but not unexpected. On the way to Peridea, she gives Sabine a look of concern. I got the feeling she was almost envious of Sabine for having a friend worth risking everything for. There was also that line Shin said to Baylon when they were heading off to kill Sabine and Ezra. She was surprised and confused that Baylon was going after them. Its almost like she cared about Sabine. If she was truly evil she would not have hesitated to have the chance to go after Sabine and kill her. Especially, after fighting Sabine several times. She would have loved another chance to kill her.

2:17 The symbol on the side of the building is the seal of the Galactic Senate. You can see it really well on the Chancellor’s pedestal in Eps I, II, & III. With that in mind this is likely the new Galactic Senate building. It would make sene that they would construct a new one that would be more in keeping with their values of decentralization. The old senate chamber had the chancellor in the well of the chamber, physically and symbolically representing the center of power. Governing on the values of egalitarianism and anti-centralization of power would be laughable. Especially considering the Captiol rotated between various core worlds, constructing one building for all of the Senate to meet in would be wasted space by the time the rotation comes around.

I didn't get the sense that Baylan was more powerful at all, but that the fight was going along with the theme of balance. Ahsoka and Baylan are at odds with their jedi pasts, kind of two sides of the same coin. You can see how comfortable Ahsoka is in this duel.

I'm fairly certain Ahsoka was holding back against Baylan (probably during the first fight too). It's pretty easy for her to outright kill someone with a lightsaber, but the second she has an emotional hangup regarding ending her opponents life, she understandably has a difficult time battling and disarming them. I can't see how she could go so quickly from battling Baylan to offering to help Shin in this episode if she was actually fighting Baylan with the goal of killing him and not just disarming him.

First thing is first, amazing use of a Lebowski quote! Secondly, I didn't see the Ahsoka/Baylan fight as him just being better than her. Since she went through her space therapy she realized that, even tho she has to fight, she doesn't have to win, that isn't the objective. In this fight she knew she had to keep him busy until Huayang came by to distract him. When Ezra declined the lightsaber and says "All I need is The Force" or something to that extent, I kind of thought (maybe kind of hoped) that he would use Force Lightning. That would have been awesome!!! I don't think that power should be limited just to the Dark Side.

Baylon is definitely a master duelist, however, I didn't think that he was just "better" than Ashoka. She seemed like she was holding back a little, almost toying with him a bit. I think she knows his plan is more complicated than she earlier thought and is trying to figure it out. Whatever it is, she didn't seem overwhelmed by Baylon. Again, he does have serious skills though.

agreed, she was simply matching him blow for blow. If Ahsoka wanted him dead, he'd be dead. She was the apprentice of the most powerful Jedi in history, no way she was giving it her all. She was simply stalling him in the same way Thrawn was stalling Ezra and Sabine.

I don't think Baylan is a better fighter than Ahsoka. He's formidable, but in both duels, she had a different goal than fighting him. In the first fight she was trying to get the map, and when she burned her hand on it, that's when Baylan got the better of her, in this latest duel her goal was to save Sabine, so she found a way out of the fight to get to her.

Great episode! can't find much wrong with it except for Sabine (again) refusing to answer questions (how did you get here...). And the Night troopers didn't go poof so they are remnants of Thrawn's army I'm guessing. Do the shells come off of the Noti? doesn't look like it but how do they wear clothes? thanks again for the video!

Are you sure the aurebesh doesn’t say “your mom”? The armor that Ezra is wearing is actually called lamellar, which is typically made by tying many small, ovalish plates together and can easily resemble dog tags. On Earth that style of armor is ancient, predating most others, so it’s entirely possible Ezra got it off a local bandit pre-made like that. No doubt, it being made of dog tags would make it 15% more fun and 28% more radical.
