It occurred to me, since Thrawn did know Anakin (and Padme) from that mission during the Clone Wars, that he also figured out they were in love, and that Vader was Anakin. So like, when he gets back and hears the Empire was defeated by a Luke Skywalker....he's gonna know who Luke is

@@rockerojerez349 Thrawn was one of the few people who knew that Darth Vader was really Anakin. The galaxy thought that Anakin died with most of the rest of the Jedi. They all looked at Anakin as one of the main heroes of the Clone Wars. After the fall of the Empire Luke's contribution and status as a Jedi would have been safe to finally reveal. The greater galaxy would just think of Luke as the son of a hero and a hero himself. Upon returning, it wouldn't be difficult for Thrawn to find out who Luke is.

She can logically know it's not her fault and come to a rational peace about it in her thoughts but emotions are much trickier, they can linger for longer even if they are not rational. Also, she is still going to feel a great sense of loss about Anakin. Look at Obi Wan, he was broken for years after Revenge of the Sith. I think the little things with Baylan are great. My only fear is that they will have to recast him. In the beginning I thought he wouldn’t make it past this series but the way it’s playing out he might play a bigger role in the story moving forward. His decision to leave Shin made SO MUCH SENSE! She showed her true colors many times that she is very much hungry for power, whereas he is looking for something greater that she just isn’t understanding. Ezra is awesome and I still feel like there is something more to him that we don’t know yet.. but I could be wrong. The fact that the dark Zeffo were on this planet before the nightsisters he could have easily found something dark that he was able to hone in. Maybe the same power that Baylan is searching for. Sabine is exactly like the character is in rebels. I know it’s very heavy handed here but i think the issue with her is the translation from animation to live action. Ahsoka has been great after her “rebirth”. Love the way the character has developed. HUYANG is an absolute boss! Love his reactions and banter. They aren’t spending to much time on the new republic stuff but enough to answer what’s going on with them. THRAWN is incredible! This episode was just Star Wars to the core and I loved it. Yes we have the heaviness but we do need these more adventure moments. It set up what’s coming in the finale, and I already expect there to be a massive cliffhanger. So I’m not expecting full closure like it seems most people are… (setting themselves up for disappointment). We are going to find out what Baylan has been searching for. Our heroes are going to attempt to stop Thrawn and more than likely fail. They will probably be stuck on Peridea with Baylan. I’m assuming we will have some sort of “reveal” with Ezra possibly. And it’s going to end with Thrawn making it back to the main galaxy. Thats all we need. And it’ll either lead into another season.. OR lead into the Heir to the Empire movie that Filoni is working on. So I’m not getting my hopes to high expecting the craziest theories I have but I do think we will get enough to keep us in anticipation for what’s next. I do feel tho that Baylan will need to be recast unless he dies in the next episode… it just doesn’t really seem likely.

I love the fact that Ezra reacted to Ahsoka training Sabine like half the Star Wars community - "she what? Why?" LMFAO

@@kevthepoet i'm sure he's been planning it since Rebels. She literally says, "I realized there was more to it. There was something else I was meant to do" in the last episode.

Ahsoka is a great show. Seems like you've all had a great time.

Just when I thought Kenobi was the perfect marriage between the Prequels' Clone Wars era and the OT's Reign of the Empire, I now argue that Ahsoka is the best union of almost everything in Star Wars. C3P0, Leia, Mon Mothma, Anakin/Vader and Cpt REX? In addition to us having THRAWN and EZRA back?! In a show centered around Ahsoka as master and Sabine as apprentice? In the classic tale of a reluctant master and stubborn student across the Skywalker Saga? This show has blended elements, arcs, and characters from the Prequels, OT, Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, and even ANDOR so beautifully.

Let’s all face the fact that Ezra keeps repeating himself on how he’s so excited to go home which makes me feel like something is going to happen to either unalive him or force him to stay behind on this planet

I love that they kept a hint of Marc Thompson’s audiobook accent from the Thrawn novel. By the time of Heir of the Empire he had the hard, clipped Empire accent. Very cool.

Thrawn and Baylan are both so great in this series. So well written and amazing antagonists. They are not evil, just have a different point of view 🤔

Fun fact: the lasers in Star Wars are powered by tibanna gas, the resource being harvested at Cloud City. Tibanna has different grades, much like our gasoline. The rebels could only afford the cheap stuff while the Empire could afford to use the high-quality gas. That is the reason the Rebels lasers are red, and the Empire's lasers are green.

I really appreciate how you guys review episodes like this and just genuinely enjoy content for what it is. Sure there's negative stuff you could say but what I admire is you ways find a positive spin on episodes and just genuinely enjoy star wars. It warms my heart as I have been a star wars fan since I was 5 and good or bad it's always something good you can find in projects like this.

I feel like Sabine knows that if she spills all the info then the rest of the time with Ezra will just be all about Thrawn and how to beat him, and she just wants to be in the moment for now. Should she tell him? Yeah of course but I think it’s obvious why she isn’t.

Also, I’m really worried about Baylan. Not in the sense of his death, but lack of. If his story goes beyond this season, are we going to have an animation for his story? Does it just end? So many questions for Baylan in this final episode that I hope are answered due to Ray’s death. I love his character so damn much I don’t want him to die but I also don’t want to see his story played out by anybody but Ray. We’re at a true dilemma with Baylan and it’s sad to be here. Damn powerful performance from Ray. RIP to one of the greatest character actors of a generation

Loved the brief hint last episode and the full acknowledgement this episode of Thrawn+Anakin's time together for that mission and knowing what he became. I mean it would be weird if it WASNT addressed, regarding his former padawan. But even so its awesome.

Shin definitely hasn’t been fully evil I feel like. She’s definitely spared Sabine a couple of times, and the more she questioned her master skoll he’s very cryptic and I feel like she doesn’t really know what she’s fighting for.

I like the parallel between how anakin speaks with ahsoka and Baylen speaks with shin. They are both giving a similar message, but shin and ahsoka are at such different points in their lives that the wisdom is received differently.

A bump in an otherwise smooth ride. Drama was handled a bit clumsily. This episode was saved by the momentum of the previous episodes (and the cast) which were work of art.
