I actually like Sabine as both a Jedi and mandalorian and it definitely shows in her fighting style using a saber and blasters is epic in her fighting style. I don’t get why everyone is angry she can use the force it has been hinted at so many times that she could the first clue was wielding the dark saber, the second was when kanan said it was possible but she was blocked most likely due to her guilt for the weapon she made, there were plenty of other clues as well. The problem was with Sabine she felt so much guilt that it was eating at her so much with what happen with the weapon she created, what happened with Ezra, her family passing then ahsoka leaving her. She was struggling with her emotions she was only focusing on getting Ezra back and when she realised he was finally safe and going home she let all that go and came to terms with everything.

I rate the finale a 8. The whole series is a 8 or 8.5 out of 10. I really enjoyed it. It had it's flaws but there was many things to love. Dave expanding and introduce more lore is great. Baylan was the best character for me this season. Ray will be so missed he did fantastic. I thought the fight between Ahsoka and Morgan was great. Hayden coming back was such a bonus. Dave Filoni did more with Hayden in this show than in the Obi Wan Kenobi series. He really shined as Anakin here and I hope we see more. Especially with that tease of the Mortis gods and ahsoka seeing the owl and Anakin force ghost present, I am very excited for Dave to explore this. I heard Michael talk a lot about Thrawn not being a villain in the long run and him not fighting the New Republic, but I really don’t think Thrawn’s going to just immediately focus on the Grysk. Even in Legends, he saw the Rebellion as unworthy and unable to properly handle the Yuuzhan Vong, which is why he continued the war. It’s the same case here. He’ll probably take over the Remnant and start up a full on war with the New Republic with the goal of reestablishing the Empire, albeit yes for the purpose of defending the galaxy against the Grysk

I loved this episode so much! I felt like everything about it was incredible. Every scene and moment was just so amazing! I thought that the writing was fantastic, the acting was amazing, and the tone was perfect. All throughout this episode I was curious about what was going to happen next and it just had me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire episode. And I feel like I can’t say enough just how incredible the music for this entire show l was, I’m so glad that they brought Kevin Kiner back to do this shows score. And I feel like all the performances in this series were amazing. Each actor was giving a fantastic performance and I felt like they were all doing an amazing job for these characters. And have completely sold me on their performances for these characters. They all felt like they were fully dedicate and invested to their character and their role. I’m so happy to have gotten to watch this show, it delivered on so many aspects for me. This entire series felt so consistent and concise with its storytelling, world building, characters and writing to me. And I’m just beyond grateful that Dave Filoni and all the other writers, directors and producers involved were able to deliver on this series. Right at the start we see Ezra making a new lightsaber which I thought was really cool, especially since he based it off of Kanan’s. Speaking of Kanan, I loved getting to hear Huyang talk about young Kanan and Ezra talking about having him as his master, it was just great to get to hear how much of an impact and impression he still has on them and this story. I also really liked the scene where Ahsoka talks to Sabine about Anakin as her master and how he always stood by her, I just really liked getting to hear her talk about him more. I also really liked her saying to Sabine that she wants to be the same for her, I feel like it really shows how Ahsoka has truly opened up to training Sabine as her apprentice. And again every one of Thrawn’s scenes in this episode, and series as a whole, were perfect. Every word out of his mouth feels perfect. I think Lars Mikkelsen did an excellent job at reprising this character, with every scene he just brought this amazing presence with him. Whether it be through his dialogue or how calm and collected he always comes off as, I think they did an amazing job at portraying him. Also this is kind of a minor thing but it was super cool how Sabine used the wings of the T-6 to take down the two Tie Fighters. I loved getting to see Ahsoka, Sabine and Ezra working together to fight the Stormtroopers. I just thought that it was all around amazing action and getting to see Ahsoka the White and Ezra with his new lightsaber fighting them was so awesome. Then we get to see the Great Mothers raise the Stormtrooper from the dead and turn them into zombies. This was such a great moment, I think that these troopers already had such an undead kind of feel and look to them, but seeing them actually come back from death made it feel even more so. I loved how unbeatable they became, it really seemed like no matter what they tried there was no way to truly defeat them. Then we get the rematch between Ahsoka and Morgan Elsbeth. I loved this fight, it was really awesome and I’m so glad that they gave Diana Lee Inosanto one more fight scene with this character. I think this fight had some amazing choreography, each hit and slash felt so fluid yet powerful and I really liked getting to see both of them using their agility throughout the fight. Not to mention how tense it was at times, especially when the Stormtrooper zombies got involved and Ahsoka had to fight both of them at once. And the scene where Ezra and Sabine fight the zombie Death Troopers was really cool, Death Troopers are already such a menacing force but to make them unstoppable/unkillable made them even more menacing. I especially like how after Sabine shot off part of the ones helmet, you could see parts of it rotting, zombie jaw trying to bite at her. Then we finally see Sabine use the force to grab the lightsaber and actually kill the zombie Death Trooper. I think they introduced her force abilities in an amazing way, by only having her use them here and to help Ezra into the Star Destroyer, it makes it so her connection to the force is at its strongest when she and those closest to her are truly in need of that power to help. And it makes it so she as a character isn’t so dependent on using the force. Then we get to see the amazing fight between Ahsoka and Morgan continue, I loved how the longer it went on the more close in combat their fighting became. But then we see Ahsoka use this awesome move to disarm and kill Morgan using both her lightsaber and Morgan’s sword. Another minor thing, but I just really liked the way the slash from Morgan’s Nightsister sword left a green burn mark. And it was really cool to see Sabine fighting the Stormtroopers while flawlessly alternating between her blaster and lightsaber. And seeing Thrawn destroy the Nightsister temple was really cool and satisfying looking, especially with getting to see all the zombie Stormtroopers being destroyed in the process. And I absolutely loved Thrawn’s chilling final words to Ahsoka. Hearing him say those things about how similar she and Anakin were and how that may not lead to the best outcome was amazing. I really hope to see Ahsoka and Thrawn interact again in the future, hopefully face to face next time. It was cool to get to see the planet Dathomir in live action for those brief couple of seconds. I am curious to find out what is in those crates, they were such an important part of the last couple of episodes so I find it kind of weird that we never learned what was actually in them, and I’m wondering if it will be revealed in the Dave Filoni movie. And I loved how Ezra returns to the New Republic fleet on Baylan’s ship, having it be framed and set up in the same way as Baylan and Shin’s arrival on that ship from the first episode really made this whole series feel like it came full circle. “it’s like poetry it rhymes” I also loved getting to see Hera and Chopper’s reactions to finally seeing Ezra again after all these years. It was so heartwarming and sweet, and it really did feel like they were seeing a long lost family member. Again, I do wish that Zeb (especially) and Old Man Rex were a part of or at least present during this scene. Then we see what looks like Shin summoning the Raiders, I guess she will take them to try and fight Ahsoka, Sabine and the hermit crab creatures in whenever we see all of them next. But that shot of her riding up on the Howler then holding her lightsaber up in the air was pretty cool. But then in a moment that was surprise to be sure, but a welcome one, we got to see another brief look at live action Morai. And I loved the way we see her appear almost as a messenger to Ahsoka and then when she flies away it transitions into the next scene that relates to her in a way. Then we get to see Ray Stevenson’s final performance through Baylan’s final scene for this series. We see Baylan looking off to the distance to some sort of temple, but then it’s revealed that he is standing on top of a enormous statue of the Father of Mortis, which is located right next to two other enormous statues of the Son and the Daughter. First of all this was a crazy moment, not only that they were the presence that was calling out to Baylan but that they were even brought into live action in the first place. I never truly expected them to actually bring these characters into live action in any way. Second of all the stance of the Father’s statue reminded me a lot of the giant statues In Fellowship of the Ring from Lord of the Rings which was another really cool reference that I’m sure Dave threw in there. Speaking of Lord of the Rings, the shot of Baylan looking at the temple in the distance looked like Frodo and Sam looking at Mount Doom. I’m also curious as to why the statue of the Daughter is broken, and does it have anything to do with here still being alive in the form of Morai. It really is a shame that Ray Stevenson is gone and isn’t here to hear the people’s love of his incredible performance for this character. And then we see Ahsoka, Sabine and Huyang trapped on Peridea having to live among the hermit crabs creatures. And I find it so beautiful yet ironic how Ahsoka, Sabine, Huyang, Baylan, Shin and Morgan essentially swapped places with Thrawn and Ezra. All the people that went there to save them left the main galaxy and were, one way or another, the ones that got left on that planet. And all the people that were stranded there were the ones that got to leave and return to the main galaxy. “it’s like poetry it rhymes” And then, in the final shot of the episode and series as a whole, we get to see Force Ghost Anakin. I loved that we got to see what may possibly be our last look at (for a while at least) Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in his final form of his force ghost. And I loved how it looked like he was watching over Ahsoka almost the same way he was with Luke at the end of Return of the Jedi.I can’t believe this fantastic series is already over. I loved everything about it and I’m still so happy that I got to experience it. I can’t wait to see where these remaining storylines will lead into the next installment and maybe even in the upcoming Dave Filoni movie. And how it will impact the future of upcoming Star Wars projects and their continuing interconnected story. I’ve loved getting to watch all of your reactions and listen to all of your reviews and thoughts on this show throughout its runtime. Rest in Peace Ray Stevenson

I’m really interested in if it is Abeloth/The Mother, or if it’s some different adaptation. One thing that I know for sure is that I don’t think Abeloth will be a closed villain by the end of this all. If Dave Filoni has the balls to bring Abeloth, one of the most controversial villains from Legends, to Canon, he’s going to make sure it’s done right. What I’m most interested in is what the later villain will be. I’m like 90% sure that this show will set up a greater villain for Rey to take on in the sequel sequels, and I’m 90% sure it’s either the Grysk or Abeloth (maybe both). Knowing Thrawn’s fear of the Grysk, and knowing he’s not going to win this war, it could still lay the groundwork for the Grysk to eventually invade. Keep in mind that in Legends, Thrawn’s campaign was over extremely quickly and the Yuuzhan Vong didn’t invade for another almost 20 years. Regardless, I can’t wait to see what’s next for the Heir to the Empire storyline

Abeloth was a mortal servant of the Mortis gods. She later became a Mother figure for the Daughter and the Son, but because she was mortal, she could not stay. Eventually, she drank from the waters of knowledge, but she accidentally fell. Hence, she became corrupt and powerfully dangerous, and the ones imprisoned her away. She is the epitome of imbalance of the force. Even Palpatine feared her presence.

The ending scene with Baylon Skoll standing on statues of the Mortis father with brother to one side and headless sister to the other side. Now I am curious as to if Dave Filoni is planning to make Ahsoka Tano the daughter for the Mortis saga.

50:54 I think part of the actually great writing and use of Morgan IS that she’s cut off early. Like even just in this episode, she gets promoted, inducted, gets a cool weapon… and then she’s just tossed aside. And you can see that she realizes that. She realizes she isn’t as important as she thought she was, or as she thought Thrawn thought she was. And it’s tragic.

40:20 Michael, there's actually a journal writing by "Paul Duncan" called "The Star Wars Archives. 1977-1983", and it's essentially an interview with George about the lore behind the SW. And in that book George actually explained what was his original plans for The Sequels before he sells the right to Disney. You can check it out, it's great. And after watching this Finale, I think Dave might actually have indented to kinda adap that story in the form of a Trilogy in future. Long story short, the intended Trilogy was about resurrected Maul and Assaj against Luke, which now with Dathomirians I can see it might be possible. Thrawn, Dathomirians, resurrected Maul and Assaj Vs. Luke, Ahsoka and their companions. Honestly that would be great imo.

It is so tragic that Ray Stevenson died shortly after this but he brought so much life to this character, and intrigue into what he was doing that I think it should definitely be recast.

I really like that peridia as a separate place has balance in the force. Ahsoka and baylan each lean towards the light or the dark but are close to the middle. Shin and sabine embody more traditional sith and jedi roles, but are influenced by unconventional training and when thr spirit of anakin is there he is the balance in the middle

Missed opportunity for Ezra Bridger VS Shin Hati battle, with Ezra having the high ground but showing mercy to Shin and taking her as his apprentice as he sensed she just conflicted in her ways. Shin really deserves redemption in the end, but whatever Dave Filoni has in mind for her in the future... "Shin Hati" could be Dave Filoni's version of "Mara Jade".

I was very similar to John, to where I was watching this show without the knowledge of any of the rebels lore. But I honestly enjoyed this series..which is crazy to say about a Disney plus series these days lol It was honestly nice to watch a finale and not have a feeling of disappointment or that I wasted time watching a show for weeks haha..it also set up something bigger without undermining any arcs or the whole episode in general, which I deeply appreciate. Great video guys! It was a fun time watching these reactions every week! May the force be with you always 👏

I really loved this finale and show in general. Seeing live action nightsister magic was everything I wanted it to be and WOW was that fight between Morgan and Ahsoka awesome. I really appreciated the longer takes so we could see the choreography and footwork. Ezra making a saber like Kanan's and them finally talking about what happened with Ahsoka and Sabine was very nice to see. This series ended in the way I expected it to, but it also felt exactly how it should have ended. Thrawn taunting Ahsoka with Anakin's past was especially chilling. Seeing Morai and the smiling Anakin force ghost just felt right. I am so devastated by Ray Stevenson's passing especially given how they clearly had a lot of very exciting plans for his character in the future. That Mortis tease really did make me lose my mind, but also made me incredibly sad at the same time. Seeing Ray stare out and see a literal white light felt cathartic and also so heartbreaking. I don't even know if I want them to recast at this point, in my opinion RAY is what made Baylan a great character, so we'll see. MVP of the whole show though: Kevin Kiner. He KILLED it and I hope he scores Dave's movie. Very grateful this series exists.
@andreigabor9912 Жыл бұрын
The mortis part is even more fascinating when you consider the day night cycle that existed on that world between the daughter and the son, and Baylan mentioning that he wants to break the cycle of Empire and Rise of the Jedi. Really fits in the idea of finding the Mother to bring in chaos to break the cycle.

It makes sense that once sabine understood that the force could be harnessed as a tool like the rest of her protection, made it click for her to access more of her force power. She was giving herself a mental block cuz she didnt have faith in the force but she did with her weapons.

Even if you want to deny the whole "everyone has the force" mentality; there is enough foundation (in a Dave Filoni kind of way) to draw a lineage between Tarre Vizsla and Sabine. Clan Wren was a vassal of House Vizsla. One could extrapolate that there might have been some mixing of the bloodlines. Just enough for Sabine to show potential.

Season as a whole I give a 9 out of 10 The show needed another four episodes
@roboninja3194 Жыл бұрын
Comments like this confirm people's rating system is so far out of whack. A 10/10 means the show is perfect, one of the greatest tv shows of all time. You rate it a 9, slightly under perfect, but say it needed 4 more episodes? So 4 more episode would've made it one of the greatest tv shows ever created? What was the plot of this show? Cause all I saw is travel to another galaxy to stop someone else from leaving that galaxy. The show didn't need 8 episodes for that and certainly doesn't need 4 more for that. At least 3 of the episodes were obvious filler where literally nothing happened.

Sometimes I get really confused by people, especially SW fans. This show managed to tell a compelling story, established Ahsoka as an important character in live action, also established the Rebels crew, (re) introduced a great villain, introduced a new great antagonist/villain, created a brand new galaxy and hinted at a bigger story with the Mortis arc, whilegiving enough fuel for a couple of potential spin offs and yet they complain that nothing happened in it...

I loved this series. It was really well done. If there’s one thing I can wanted more, it’d be seeing more of Ahsoka and Sabine’s interactions. I want to see the story of how she was taken in as an apprentice, how she reacted to the Purge of Mandalore, and how Ahsoka abandoned her. It feels like it would help paint a much clearer picture over what we see here.

BTW, Morgan Elsbeth was played by Diana Lee Inosanto, who is Filipino-American. She is the daughter of Dan Inosanto, who was 1 of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do students and in turn, taught Bruce Lee nunchucks and Filipino Martial Arts. Diana is a true martial artist who learned from her father. BL is even her godfather.

I love the pause Sabine gives after saying the words "I try..." Dave is making the fans recite "There is no try," which Sabine immediately self corrects to "I do," so we know that lessons passed down from Yoda through the line of succession have made its way to Ahsoka.

Lame-ass Luke told Grogu to abandon his dad and choose between Jedi and Mandalorian, meanwhile Ahsoka out here stuck in another galaxy because she supported her Mandalorian Padawan in finding her long lost best friend lmao. Shame Morgan Elsbeth is dead, she felt like a rival to Ahsoka their fights were cool. Ahsoka got a sick-ass Night Sister sword now though so her death was not for nothing

A big part of this show was about legacy and Jedi lineage. Yoda to Dooku, Dooku to Qui Gon, Qui Gon to Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan to Anakin, Anakin to Ahsoka and now Ahsoka to Sabine. But, they set it up to introduce another lineage. Depa to Caleb(Kanan), Kanan to Ezra and Ezra to Jacen. Jacen said he wanted to ne a Jedi and demonstrated abilities. Also, notice the Daughter dies not have a head and there is a space between the father and daughter. The exiled mother goes there (aka Abeloth). The fathers outstretched hand points to a mountain that flashes red light. Great reaction and great show!
