i loved the episodes we got. it just felt like THIS is star wars. right from the beginning with the red opening crawl, it gave it this feeling of importance. i love that dave filoni put his own spin on it. these episodes have me excited for the future. 9/10, in dave filoni we trust.

We agree! Just like he did with Siege of Mandalore. Giving things some type of a crawl just makes them seem so much more important haha

Yeah, the plot really hasn't kicked in yet! It'll be very fun regardless instead of just hanging around and the occasional fight.

i just have a bad feeling about the thrawn we are going to get... new thrawn fans want thrawns portrayal to be closer to the thawn/ascendency persona, not the one i think we are getting, his htte persona..... i dont like how elsbeth said thrawn calls to her, implying he has the force......

Elsbeth seems pretty crazy in the head than in Mando, so maybe it's a mix of people working for Thrawn and people working towards Thrawn. Maybe she's being influenced by someone. Think Thrawn will be a blend of all depictions and start more like his HttE version, but evolve quickly from there. Maybe never like the books, but a good blend and development based on where he is in life now.

If they introduce Jorus C'Baoth, that would make sense. He had the ability in HTTE to to call to other force users in this way. I would like to see that as a plot twist.

@@mish375 We absolutely agree with that! He can bring the more weird, cult/magic strangeness of Shadows of the Sith tied to or seperate to the Sith Eternal, and make for a very cool villain to play a role in The New Republic film!

@@starwarslads It seems like a logical conclusion to have C'Baoth or at least a character based off of him in the show at some point. I still would like the plot twist of Beylan being connected to Jorus somehow. Since Ray Stephenson has passed (rip), it would natural to use a character like Jorus as a replacement. It could be assumed, that like in HTTE, Thrawn has already made a shakey deal with Jorus to be allies. Though we know Jorus is insane so that alliance can't fully last. I suspect Thrawn will be written as a mix of his EU and new Canon selves, which would be great. I'm also curious whether Ezra's stunt at the end Rebels caused Thrawn to get the ysalamiri to protect himself from Force users. That's the only reason he and Pellaeon weren't fried by Jorus' Force lightning in HTTE so the space geckos would be useful to him going forward.
