Ahsoka is Everything Anakin Could Never Be....

Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker have very similar personalities and mindsets, this is probably why Master Yoda assigned the young Togruta Padawan to Anakin in the first place during the clone wars. Anakin Skywalker was an excellent master to Ahsoka, but the question is has she finally surpassed him? Has the apprentice become the master? #ahsoka

I think she surpassed Anakin when she walked away from the Jedi order. Being able to let go was never something Anakin was able to grasp. He was still more powerful in the ways we normally see him, but her being able to let go would allow her to grow into somthing beyond what he was able to teach her

I think in a roundabout way he did teach her that too. Seeing how he was with the order and how she knew about padme and how he wanted to leave she didn't want that for herself. She was a cautionary tale for her. She was given to Anakin to teach Anakin responsibility and to be able to let go but in the end she's the one that learned those lessons not him.

Agreed. Anakin’s flaws always got in the way of his potential, from Episode 2 where he did pretty much nothing but get himself in trouble and hurt himself, to Clone Wars where his arrogance and confidence gets untold numbers of clones unnecessarily killed, to his fall to the dark side ultimately limiting his power massively. Ashoka had none of that. She had plenty of trials and tribulations similar to Anakin - alienation from the Jedi, an inability to progress in the order, plenty of battles, etc - but she never fell to the dark because of it. She remained loyal to her values, and channeled her flawed towards good. That alone, I think, makes her a much more powerful figure than Anakin ever was. Anakin definitely had more natural power, but Ashoka made use of her power much better

Anakin Skywalker is a prisoner to his rage, his injuries, and to his master. to me, the day she surpassed anakin was when she walked away fom from jedi order and chose her own truth... the conversation they both had when anakin said he has thought of leaving the order but never did is what destroyed him eventually.... by choosing a path that stabilize what the order has taught her and what she values, she ascended herself beyond what the jedi and the order stood for..this is also why kenobi wanted ahsoka to speak to anakin when they sent him to spy on palps, kenobi knew ahsoka is the only person that could get through to him

Anaking had the mental and physical _endurance_ to resist Palpatine's lightning out of his innherent role as the One able to overcome the Dark Side _itself_ to the point of destroying it's most personified incarnation. i doubt Ahsoka would ever be able to carry out such a feat on her own.

If Anakin walked away from the order when Ahsoka did, maybe things would've turned out different for him. Then again, Palpatine's will to have him as a Sith apprentice, or destiny alone may have determined his fate regardless. I always believed Anakin would have made better decisions in Episode III if Ahsoka was by his side. Maybe this was part of Palpatine's plan to turn Anakin from the beginning.

Through her mistakes, Ahsoka Tano, saw that she had no self control _AND_ more importantly saw that no self control was hindering her, limiting her potential and sought to "tame the dragon" as it were. She began to _evolve_ . Anakin, through his mistakes saw failure and in turn anger. He saw no loss of control, but simply not being good enough and sought to "enrage the dragon". As far as self control goes, he began to stagnate or even _de-evolve_ . They both became better and more powerful, but one by pushing _against_ her nature and one by _giving in_ to his nature. As to whether the apprentice surpasses the master...well that is relative.

I think they're on a par with each other atm. She has the better temperament but, after Anakin got diced, he became more level headed in a strange way. Their power potential is probably even imo and I side with Ahsoka, because I think she's slightly more intelligent.

Ahsoka always had a more relaxed upbringing within the Order compared to Anakin which is why she never struggled with the Dark Side to the extent her Master did.

@@WilliamAGould Too many key factors which lead to Anakin's inevitable fall to the Dark Side: 1) Born a slave and then forced to leave his mother behind to become an emotionless space monk. 2) Been bullied by the Council from day 1 because of the Prophecy and never treated with the respect and support he deserved after prooving to be an exceptional Jedi. 3) Been allowed into the Council without the chance to become a Master himself after prooving his worth multple times as a general in the Clone Wars. 4) Been told to supress his emotions by any means necessary without any guidance or support from the likes of Obi-Wan or Yoda aside from a lecture as if he were any random padawan in training. 5) Never been _trusted_ by the Council out of fear of him been led astray leading to him becoming even more distrustful of the Council. 6) The Council declaring Ahsoka guilty of a crime of which there was no *evidence* to condemn her leading to her walking out of the Order and Anakin loosing the one person who might have saved him from himself after he saw visions of Padme dying in childbirth. The Council killed itself by letting Anakin down every step of the way without ever stopping to queston their actions and wether it was their arrogance and zeal which allowed Palpatine to rule his Empire.

Ahsoka's M-count is probably higher than Obi-Wan or Mace Windu. Her combat skill above most Knights before she became Anikan's Padawan. Ahsoka is constantly using force abilities that were on par with the Masters including sensing things across the galaxy and telepathy. Ahsoka has an extremely close connection to the force considering she practically is the phsyical embodiment of the Light.

Ahsoka was a plot device in The Clone Wars (over the top kids cartoon, maybe to reach out to the female audience, blah blah etc.). Something to make/encourage conflict and drama for the storylines without breaking the movies. Masters died at the Battle of Geonosis to some bounty hunter dual wielding blasters. Ahsoka deflected every shot on her from scores of battle droids. Why deflect if they won't hit. They were more accurate than we're led to believe.

Thats a bad question. She had the best of both world she had Anakin and Obi-Wan training her directly throughout a conflict. Just surviving put her above most of the senior jedi (err the ones that age like humans atleast) do to her early introduction to war. Anakin grew up a slave, and then joined the jedi at the most fragile and inept state in their entire existence. But still grew to outclass all of them. He was a literal monster but also their most gifted engineer and pilot and a beloved public figure throughout the galaxy at the height of the war. Ashoka is wonderful but shes not in his league or all that close despite her higher standard of training and direct experience. If their positions were reversed Anakin could have easily dusted Palpatine and led a massive uprising. All of his clone wars contacts and underworld connections plus angry citizens who remember him from the news as a great hero. He'd either be the next Emperor or Jedi Grandmaster where as Ashoka literally gave everything she had and barely made an impact on the war especially compared to.... his son Luke lol

I think the combination of the defeat and capture of Maul by her and walking away from the Jedi Order put her above Anakin as a Jedi, it takes a lot to defeat someone in lightsaber combat, even more to do it while not killing them in the process. And her mental fortitude to walk away from the only life she ever knew shows a high level of intelligence and self discipline, things that Anakin showed to be far less capable at. As a force user, I think she may not have surpassed Vader yet in the Ashoka series but she is probably closer then anyone else, even Luke, to being literally the only person really worthy of the title Grand Master of the Jedi Order, which puts her close to on par with Obi-Wan or Yoda, who could both defeat Anakin/Vader but probably need to see her defeat a few more Sith before that is a certainty

Controversial opinion: Ahsoka isn't the Chosen One, but neither is Anakin. There is no Chosen One because, as Yoda and others pointed out, prophecies aren't always clear and can be misread.

Will watch it later, but if you remmember the Mortis arc, the Father says Anakin is special because he can balance and control the Son and the Daughter. While Ahsoka is very powerful and holds within her something of the Daughter, which makes her sort of an embodiment of the Light, she tends to the development of only one aspect of the Force. A balanced Anakin/Vader is more powerful than Ahsoka, but that only happens on ep VI.

Let's not forget that Anakin way stronger than ahsoka. Vader was even more brutal in terms of combat and you can see that ahsoka was barely able to hold him in battle. In the end Vader sheer power would overcome ahsoka - she would get tired Vader wouldn't.

It is clear from what happened in 'Rebels' that at that point in her life, Ashoka was no match for Darth Vader at his peak. However, by the time of the new series she has had a pretty long time to study and grow in terms of her abilities. I would not be too surprised if she would be able to take down Vader at his peak if the two were to meet during the timeline of the 'Ashoka' series. After all, going by what has been said so far there looks to be a 13 - 18 year gap between the events of 'Rebels' and the new 'Ashoka' series. Arguably Vader at his peak is a more powerful opponent than Anakin when he became a Sith and I think Ashoka was probably a match for peak Anakin during Rebels. Whether she had the same potential as Anakin or not is another matter.

Please do a video about the Ashla & the Bogan! Bendu is key! Let me explain 😄 In Tales of the Jedi, Ahsoka goes by the fake name Ashla while working in the farming town. At first I thought it was a nod to Ashley Eckstein, her voice actor. But the Lasat people used that word when talking about their folklore in an ep of Rebels (s2). And then Bendu from Rebels s3 references Ashla too: "Jedi and Sith wield the Ashla and Bogan. The light and the dark. I'm the one in the middle. The Bendu." Apparently Ashla is the old word for the light side of the force. Which, y'know, Ahsoka IS that... 😅 I don't think any of the cannon media has referenced the Bogan since then though. We could speculate all day about the implications of Mortis, but I just thought the Ashla connection was so cool, and one nobody talks about.

Ahsoka was hard done by, framed and damned, by a Council that couldn't even say sorry for its mistake. She walked away because she was channeling deep unease - first named by Barriss Offee - that the Jedi had lost their way. It might have been tempting to stay with her new jedi family and friends, for comfort, learning, position, purpose. But it wasn't right. When she walked away to find her own path, she had surpassed her master.

I really, really hope this show doesn't suck. My expectations are high because this is Filoni's baby, and he's delivered in the past. If it wasn't for him, Star Wars wouldn't have been worth $4 billion when Disney bought it, but as long as Kathleen Kennedy is there, I'm so worried she's going to fill it with her poison pills. Ahsoka is such a great character. She's an intricate part of understanding Darth Vader and a fascinating in her own right.

I,haven't watched the video yet, but I can say this. Yes Asoka is more,powerful than Anakin and it will be proven in the TV show yet she doesn't take him down because we have to adhere to thr story, but Asoka is more powerful, because strong independent woman! Ahsoka definitely surpassed Anakin in terms of emotional resilience, critical thinking, and independence. In terms of raw power in the Force, Anakin/Vader still comes out on top, but I’d say they were equally matched blade to blade. You might argue that their duel came out more like a “no contest,” as neither really disarmed or defeated the other.

I’m with you on this one, have always believed that Ahsoka if not already more powerful than Anakin from an early age but certain has the potential to surpass him, in fact I believe that she is or will become the most powerful of all Jedi, with the exception of Yoda. I will actually go even more controversial and say I believe they got the prophecy wrong, I believe Ahsoka is in fact the chosen one, not Anakin, although I believe Anakin had a big part to play in the prophecy as he was the gateway for Ahsoka to ascend through.

So, in natural talent, no, she simply can’t, he’s the chosen one. She is extremely talented though, and an extremely talented Jedi who is in tune with themselves, and the will of the force are extremely powerful. Anakin’s fall to the dark side nearly ensures that Ahsoka will or has surpassed him in power, because she has the best ally in the galaxy.

The dark side was never more powerful it is just faster. A dark side user can be come as powerful as a Jedi knight much faster but they will eventually hit that point of diminishing returns and I would even say because the assent was so easy trying to gain that level of true mastery is actually harder than a light side user.
