I gotta disagree with the statement that Favreau wasn’t “as involved” in Boba Fett. He’s literally credited as the creator, he’s a producer on it, and wrote all of the episodes by himself. He was arguably the most involved with it.

Young Leia is so great. My only critique for the series so far are the chase scenes. Like bruh. Just grab the girl. She has tiny legs. It’s hilarious to think she can out run full grown adults. But yeah that’s my only trouble so far. Not loving Reva but not hating her either. So excited to continue the show. But I know for sure if they put the spotlight on Reva too much certain fans are gonna go ballistic. Tbf Obi Wan and Anakin are the main draw. Give us new characters for sure, as long as they serve the story. We’ll see. Keep it up guys!

@mi ale Forgive me but thats horseshit. Bringing more female characters to the fore in franchises that underserved them is NOT “diminishing men”. Thats such a silly, asinine opinion that says more about the fragile ego of those that think it than anything that’s actually happening in these shows and films. Elevating a poorly served group does not mean another must be diminished. No where in entertainment are men, especially white cis men, being under represented or diminished. Respectfully that entire line of thinking is ridiculous.
@langleymneely2 жыл бұрын
Agreed! It’s the only major complaint I have with the episodes. That chase was comically bad in the way it was staged. I couldn’t tell if it was because the young girl couldn’t run fast or what? Other than that I think it’s a home run so far.

“General Kenobi. Years ago you served my father in the Clone Wars. Now he begs you to help him in his struggle against the Empire…” Nothing in Leia’s message indicates that they’ve never met before. People are pointing to that first line as an indication that they haven’t met. But she’s simply saying “you helped my father in one war, and now he needs your help in this one.” She also apologizes for not being able to deliver the message personally. Watch it again. It can just as easily be interpreted as a formal request from a politician to someone she is familiar with.

yes exactly..... the adult princess was under attack on her way to meet Obi Wan and had to make a quick recording via R2.... she never ever gets to meet him after that which is sad now.... how can you use that as an argument that she never met him?? doesn't make a lot of sense to me....

Oh no der plot holes reeeeee!referee!! Who fucking cares. Leia could have been being diplomatic. She could have forgotten cause so young. Or simply decided to say that instead since his relationship was primarily with her father. You people have turned far more insufferable than the woketards. I watched a recording of the panel on KZbin. It was great to see such a DIVERSE group of people, talking about CHARACTER and their LOVE for Star Wars and the fandom with such positivity. It looks like a really great team. Announcing Rick as an Executive Producer was great, too. The only mention of 'strong women' was by Katee, saying how Jon & Dave write STRONG CHARACTERS first and foremost. And interesting to hear Favreau talk about "attachment & family vs commitment & discipline" at the heart of Star Wars. All we ever hear in RJ, JJ or KK projects is the word "hope" quoted and repeated in a rather one-note and disingenuous story that never feels truly hopeful. A total antidote and complete contrast to the Vanity Fair gaslighting by KK, and several weeks PR for Kenobi, talking about prequel criticism, disliking blue screen, racism in the fandom and the importance of Ingram getting to choose her own hair - and how diversity is 'long overdue'. No doubt Kenobi will continue TLJ trend for a boring story that eventually gets around to *telling us* about "hope" instead of *showing us* hope.

Thank you Steph! I seriously have never gotten this “it all looks like tv not film” critique across the board with most of the Disney + miniseries? Minus some very obvious moments like in Boba Fett I find most of the Star Wars & Marvel content to be very cinematic. I really think a lot of people come to that default because they are so used to thinking that if its on tv it’s cheap and not cinematic, regardless of how it looks. Most of these shows would look fine on the big screen IMO.

Agreed. I guess my visual pallet is just not as refined as some. But overall, I've got no problem with the visuals on the Star Wars & Marvel content. Rogue One got a lot of flak for the CGI Tarkin & Leia, but I'd rather see the creators experimenting so they can at least learn from their mistakes.
@langleymneely2 жыл бұрын
@@jonathangeraldrobinson720 Exactly! When it comes to recreating people in SW most seem to forget they are pushing the form, trying to experiment. Tarkin & Leia laid the groundwork for Luke which in turn helps the entire industry. When Luke rescues Leia from her cell in episode 4, he says “I'm here to rescue you. I've got your R2 unit. I'm here with Ben Kenobi.” Leia responds with a knowing “Ben Kenobi!? I really want to say something here. I think it's incredibly stupid how in today's age you cant criticize anything or anyone. Yes, If a person is being a disrespectful bullying troll he should shut the F up, but if someone says, I don't like or resonate with the way this actor portrayed the role then those 2 shouldn't be lumped together in one pile of haters and that's exactly what happens a lot of the time now. There is a place to love something and a place not to like it. Every person watches things with his own personal perspective. Personally I didn't quite like Reva, I'm not even sure why, but something didn't jell for me in her performance and for a lot of her scenes I just spend wandering what kind of role I would want to see the actress play instead being in the moment. But in general I absolutely LOVE the show, I think the only reason why I wasn't crying of happiness the entire time was only because I was so in shock that I'm actually seeing what I'm seeing. I absolutely LOVE seeing how much love all the actors and the creators are getting, it's so beautiful and so deserved!! Rebels is my favorite Star Wars content and I cant even comprehend it's coming in live action (so so incredibly happy). The trailer for Andor looks incredible so I'm really looking forward to that now and also the news about the "Tales of the Jedi" sound like something I'm just really gonna love. All in all it's a pretty amazing time to be a Star Wars fan!

To me, Little Leia and of course Ewan are stealing the show so far. Here's how they'll address Leia's message in A New Hope: When Obi-Wan gets Leia back to Alderaan, he will tell her his mission requires him to stay on Tatooine. He will ask her only to contact him in the most dire of circumstances, for his own safety and the safety of her people. He'll also tell her if she does try to contact him, she needs to be very careful what she says, in case the message falls into the wrong hands. "You served my father during the clone wars" will be code for "I need you to leave Tatooine." Also, IMO, Reva is actually coming off as more understated than I expected. I love how she gets in people's faces and talks real calm then goes redline in a heartbeat. Let's face it, we all know people like that. Clearly, they're trying to make the point that only the other Inquisitors can rein her in, at least for a while. Agree with Mike about the parkour nonsense. You can see what they're aiming for, it's just not quite there. Sorry for rambling, but I'm crazy for this show.
