Anakins lesson to ahsoka wasn't "this is war, if you don't fight youll die". His entire lesson was that she has no conviction and runs from anything that requires more effort. She has to live with the mistakes she's made and get over things that didn't work out, and she can't control what happens to others (which was a great lesson from Anakin) and forgive people who let her down.
@Jiub_SN11 ай бұрын
Anakin wouldn't have taught her that
@thoughtproject11 ай бұрын
I'm not sure where you got that from. Even if this was true, it still doesn't make sense. Ahsoka: "What if I want to stop fighting?" Anakin: "Then you'll die." His whole lesson is predicated on the fact that Ahsoka is tormented by everyone dying around her, which was prompted by Baylan talking about her carrying her master's legacy of death and destruction. Seems pretty cut and dry to me.
@Soulatheunholy11 ай бұрын
Ahsoka stood her ground facing a droid army coming towards her, and only left because Anakin made her. Ahsoka sacrificed herself in a separatist tank to save her comrades. Ahsoka gave up on becoming a Jedi to be there for the people of the republic. Ahsoka fought Grievous. Who in their right mind would insinuate Ahsoka lacked conviction and commitment?

@@Jiub_SN well guess what he actually did.

@@Soulatheunholy during the clone wars she did not but during the period of the show she did. Like she stop training sabine because she might pose a "threat" or something like that when we all now that that character is simply not "powerful" enough to "use" the force in a greater way, if that makes sense. She lost her conviction and commitment she did not try to train grogu, she abandoned sabine for nonsesible reasons, and really she was just being boring and flat, which maybe has nothing to do but after "what" anakin taught her she became a little more lively, according to my point of view at least. But we can also say that he anakin was not trying to teach her something about conviction and commitment, rather somethin about literally living or dying. We can see in the show that she is flat and the MOST BORING THING EVER, she wears black and grey, which are colors psycologically (sorry if misspel) proven to be used / worn by depressed people.We can say she lost her reasons / will to live. And anakin was triyng to teach her that if she wanted to stay alive, she would need to want to live, and she became barely more optimistic after that and started wearing white, the opposite of black / grey. IM SORRY IF IT IS SO LONG, I DINDT REALIZE.

It feels like all star wars can do now is give the protagonist "the secret map to destroy_____". It feels so rinse and repeat. And justice for Qui-Gon.

Can you explain your quote to me because I have been trying to get it but can't. Pls its given me a headache pls 🙏🏿
@unknown23hornet2211 ай бұрын
My main issue with ahsoka was its failure to make Sabine a compelling character. It was a problem with most of the characters where they didn't bring anything new to them. Thrawn and Ezra were exeptions. I was very disappointed with the politics. No ulterior motives revealed behind the council trying to remove Hera. That could have been fleshed out. And then Hera is bailed out without serious explanation.

I've just binged a lot of your videos, I'm curious what shows you'd say offer good complete storytelling that isn't the obvious stories people think of like breaking bad, avatar the last airbender or the recent arcane series. And maybe what about those shows are good and actually tell a good, well paced story. Unlike disney plus series that essentially tell a 2 hour movie over the course of 8 episodes, adding 50% filler to adjust for time.
@thoughtproject11 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching!! Some of my favorites not named Breaking Bad include: - Better Call Saul (BB's prequel, arguably just as good, if not, better than BB) - Peaky Blinders (Criminally underrated masterpiece) - Dexter Seasons 1 & 4 (Incredible storytelling and pacing) - Invincible (I recently caught up on this and was blown away by the writing, voice acting, etc.) There's plenty I haven't watched, I have a massive list queued up, I'm just trying to find the time to binge lol. Ahsoka certainly doesn't make the cut, and it isn't hard to see why.

I still can't even make sense of the Obi-Wan series fight... Darth Vader had been Darth Vader for 10 years when he faced Kenobi, but somehow he still considered himself an apprentice when he and Kenobi faced each other in the show. On the Deathstar he says "I've been waiting for you Obi-Wan we meet at last. The circle is now complete, when I left you I was but a learner now I am the master"
@thoughtproject11 ай бұрын
That's a good point. They clearly just wanted to get a lightsaber duel between the two at all costs, regardless of the implications it had in the existing story.

20:46 "The more things change, the more they stay the same". Disney should make that their official slogan at this point. Your channel may be pretty small, but the quality of your videos is pretty darn good. You've earned a sub, and I hope your channel grows!❤

That's like slapping someone in the face and saying, "Thank your lucky stars I didn't kick you in the nuts". Critiquing bad movies/TV and demanding better quality is what we as an audience have to do. Trying to "be happy" with what we are getting isn't going to get us anywhere. But hey, if you liked Ashoka, just say you liked it.

Ain't got no problem if you like it, but don't try and say that everyone else are haters for wanting more than cheap.shit. It's like rolling up to a football game, watching the home team do bad because the new coach and players don't know what there doing. Maybe you new to this thing and is like, oh yea, can be too bad. But the three generations of this teams fans next to you are livid, the team is doing so horrendously bad, all they want is for them to put in a little effort and achieve the same level of competency they know the team can achieve. But noooooo, says the new fan, you just don't understand there brilliance, you just hate everything. Or even worse, if you don't like it just stop watching. Like bro all we want with star wars is COMPETENT stories that make you feel more then boredom and nostalgia bait.

@@thoughtproject it was not poorly excecuted, AND maybe some of the characters well badly written but the plot was not badly written unlike other shows like andor which have bad written plots but rely on big budget and ENORMOUS amounts of character introduction and development, which literally makes you forget what the plot even is, to "keep" viewers watching it.
