I like this a lot - since Claude-dev is such a good example of a well written agent, adapting its code to more generic (or different) agentic work is such a brilliant idea, I appreciate your perseverance. Can't wait to find some free time myself to adapt your work to the biomedical domain, with pubmed search etc.

Hey there! I was hoping some of my pushes would be accepted into the main repo, but it wasn't so that's a bust. I expect I'll do another video soon and I can compile more of the updates. For now, claude-dev breaks my changes with every update, they seem to be rapidly changing things still. :(

The latest version of Claude Dev (called Cline now) supports OpenRouter, Google Gemini, Claude and more. The privacy policy and security practices for each of those services will be different, you'll want to examine them closely.

am i missing something (sorry didn't have the time to watch everything with full attention), are you not using Claude Dev (the original plugin) to help with these changes to the codebase to make it into Claude lawyer?

I am using Claude dev as a base. I am not using Claude dev for the work though

But I’m just not comfortable allowing a software access to change my files and directories. Main worry.

Absolutely you should always be wary. There are a couple checks but you can remove the ability to alter files entirely by removing the tool. Allow it only to add docs for example.

That's where version control helps a lot i.e. using something like git tracking the changes to the files, so you can revert the entire document base (or one document at a time) if needed. Or just have a backup ready before you try this.. :)
