I am very skeptical. AI (machine learning) has some amazing applications in materials research, medicine (new pills, finding things in body scans), complex systems modeling (weather etc.) but outside of these specific applications, it's a tech gimmick and I DON'T want to see it in my daily life. What does that even mean? Tech support being more infuriating because I'm talking to a machine. Micro$oft shoving Clippy 2.0 down my throat when and where I don't want it? More AI generated slop in games and movies (as if studios aren't lazy enough)...
