AI Audio Cleanup in Camtasia with Descript

Clean up noise or echo on audio from Camtasia with Descript's AI audio cleaning - Studio Sound - and only keep the voice.
In this video, I show you how to export your noisy audio from Camtasia, load it into Descript, clean it up using Descript's AI tool and then bring that back to Camtasia and replace your original audio. All the while, keeping your editing capabilities and options open to go back to the original Camtasia audio if you want to.
This is one of the workflows I use with Camtasia when I want to clean up audio, or make audio from different sources sound the same.
Camtasia has noise reduction but it's quite limited and doesn't remove more complex sounds. This AI feature in Descript ignores everything but the voices. It resamples the voices back in and also adds a little bit of the lower end audio which is typically lost in classic noise reduction.

You can remove background like in the video I posted here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5PHhKVppquEisU If you are using Camtasia, you can remove the background in Camtasia too: with greenscreen: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqLPmWOQi6qSntk and also, in Camtasia 2023, with AI too.

This is nice but if you are exporting, leveling audio and then applying the studio fixes you can use plugins like Isotope RX10 in your DAW. If only Camtasia would finally add VST plugin support, we could repair audio like in DR 18.5. I've actually started migrating my workflow to DR Studio 18.5 so I can use one program that's already paid for. Still enjoy the lessons, because I can use what you show and mod or build on your great examples.

Have you looked into using Audiate inside of Camtasia?

Yes, I did, but Descript has much more features than Audiate. MUCH more.

When you mount for a long time in Camtasia, the PC starts to freeze. when you restart the program everything works fine. question. maybe there in the process of work you can clean the cache somewhere or something else?

Yeah, I think it's just memory leaks. I got them all the time. A restart fixes it. It's less obvious on Mac.

It does have that function to remove gaps but with Audiate (which is a separate paid product)
