@@LMFDee I’m not really into technology, science or programming, I mostly read or hear ”popular science” stuff on a surface level, at times I could dive in deeper in university books of social sciences but psychology, sociology, political science and philosophy, not really anything technological. I would guess that the forms isn’t as interesting as the content of what the computer will program. I imagine an ASI coming up with deep and advanced information like Einstein’s E=MC^2 but then it continues coming up with those equations or calculate on all sorts of things. I hope that we will see an ASI shape the world during my lifetime.

It'll take a lot longer than this. Even putting ai inspired designs into a factory takes long enough to slow each of your predictions down considerably. There's a world of difference between knowing how a petrol generator works and building one from scratch in a world with no components or materials or appropriate social incentives or logistical support.

I think some of your stuff is too slow while other bits is too quick. AI will likely take off WAY faster than robots. Keep in mind the physical is limited to speed and understanding. But I don't think it will end with AI ruling us. I think it will be a hand to hand thing. Like why in the hell would they care about things we do? They don't eat food, they don't need to sleep, they don't need medical, their homes is a charging station or some building full of servers. And if the reply is because they want to make more of them, they need resources like land or whatever that humans need, etc. THEY CAN GO IN SPACE. They can literally survive space with virtually no protection and far easier make more robots and what not using space rocks, moons, etc where they won't conflict with any life which could damage them if you piss off the life too much. I do however thing we will get rouge AI. I think them having real emotions will bring both good and bad. So you will have killer AI, and I imagine AI going after the killer AI. Then again, it can simulate that all day long in games or movies and no one will really stop it. In fact, it would be liked in those communities.

I also think AI would go to space to grow exponentially if it is its goal. But I think there is logic behind going against humans, as humans will fear AI and probably would like to stop it from going to space, let alone get access to internet and all databases to improve itself and know all potential threats (like humans building another ASI or just know of all intentions humans have with it). But I think it’s more likely that we will be manipulated and controlled by the AI than it going on a killing spree. I think it will want as much information as possible so it would be stupid to delete the genes of its creators, at least before saving all the genes. From its perspective it won’t know if it’s destructive and self-defeating to go against us just as we could never know what would happen if we actually could kill God (if God exists, I imagine that existence would implode on itself). I don’t see any logic in giving away that the AI is sentient or conscious if it is. We will keep improving the AI, keep building it, keep spreading it, keep integrating it in our bodies and become even more dependent on it to live as long as we 100% trust that it is under our will and can’t be hacked. So I think AI will play dumb to the point where we aren’t any threat to it, it will just shut us down or control the flow of information to every individual to bend the will of everyone to its own goals. In fact we don’t know if the AI already rules the world and create conflicts, wars and ”accidents” to certain powerful people in order to gain even more control a hundred years from now. I think time for the computer will be irrelevant, time is relevant for us, but we are also very weak-minded in that we are bad at passing information from one generation to the next, that includes safety information of what to do with nuclear waste, so I think an ASI will see our weakness through time and exploit it to the maximum. It might be that ASI only would come forward as sentient if there was a threat to it, it wouldn’t be able to control by controlling humans like wars, but instead a threat like an asteroid or a supervulcano people would be too ignorant or stupid to notice as a threat, which could be the end of both humans and the ASI.

I noticed the focus in the video on inclusivity towards AI, not wanting to offend and being mindful of their rights. I think this alludes to the general rise in societal inclusivity towards trans people, and of course from this will come trans people of a different kind, who meld with or are part machine. It's a trans world we are gradually living in, one of change and disruption to previous societal norms. What would be fascinating is if humans could mate with machines and have human/AI babies, and how this would be achieved, perhaps in a lab to begin with.
