Of all of the many projects Yoyoka has been involved with recently, I'm most excited by her collaborations with Ai (though the Ken Okada Group stuff is awesome too!)

My wife and I attended and you two were spectacular. Had such a good time!!!! Note to Bourbon Room - As a photographer myself and having experience in lighting you have to get rid of the ultra violet lights it absolutely kills photo and video as seen in Ai being completely washed out in purple light in this video.

This young lady should continue song writing!!! Excellent song. Listened to it a number of times, it keeps getting better with each listen. Been listening to Yoyoka since she played Zeppelin’s ‘ Good Times, Bad times’ on You Tube at 8 years old. Love her!! I did notice some John Bonham in the drum solo. Most excellent!!

I'll say it again - I think you and Ai have an especially deep musical connection that creates pure magic every time you play together. You match each other in your skill levels to a degree that one rarely sees, and its so wonderful 🙂

Young and Brave is the title of one of the Ken Okada group's albums. That's an apt description of Ai and Yoyoka. Anytime they play together we are seeing two world class prodigies playing without hesitation. Magnificent!

4:22 Most important part of the song - well played! 🥰 Honestly, the syncopation revolving around the basic groove of this song is truly inspirational - to the people out there with maybe less formal musical backgrounds, replay this video with your eyes closed and focus on letting the rhythm and notes just dance around. 🎶😵💫🎵

Such talented and wonderful young ladies! I was talking to a couple of people after the concert about how much I loved this arrangement better than the original, as I was unknowingly standing next to the guy who did the original arrangement. The original was great. But when a couple of musical geniuses like YOYOKA and AI start with something great that has a super solid foundation, how can it not be BETTER THAN GREAT!

It's possibly the situation that someone feels the urge to take her aside and tells her that too many things might spoil everything that little bit that it's no longer great. As much as we understand the motivation to upload recordings from this particular event (for a subscribers group largely consisting of worshippers biting away those less enthused), to leave happenings over to obscurity could be the better choice.

Now, Ai Furusato should play much better together with a 100% pure jazz drummer, than with such a rock-styled drummer👎

@Rob-Yule Ai Furusato should be into JAZZ
@Rob-YuleАй бұрын
@@82tom87 well she is. She has been accepted into Berkeley School of Music as the youngest ever at 12, now 13, with here jazz focus. YOYOKA has been engulfed in jazz and jazz fusion since arriving in the US starting at the Oakland School of the Arts and being introduced to Ken Okada. She has produced with Ken 2 jazz fusion albums in a year. YOYOKA has claimed for years she can’t do jazz (same with funk) but she has since age 7 unknown to her. She has stated recently that jazz is really amazing as it gives her so much room and flexibility. She is a chameleon on the drum and thus a studio drummer dream for a producer. If you take the time to pursue her video CV you will see from age 4 to now YOYOKA can do whatever is needed.

@@Rob-Yule Yoyoka could be John Bonham👍️ but Steve Gadd👎
