That intro is amazing! So creative and very good editing. You should be proud on the progress your video making skills have become! Respect!

That is a dope feature for your rain barrel. Cannot wait to finally try to replicate your system this summer!

nice video and this is exactly what i am setting up now but having seen other videos i was under the impression the sensors didnt see the water ! So this is a relief it does , thank you

Yes it appears to pick up water well but probably better suited for a larger surface area of water. I’m planning on experimenting with pressure sensors to see if they are a little more stable for detecting water level.

This was a great video for me as I've been looking for an excuse to try AI but didn't know how to get started or for what practical purpose. I can certainly use a rain barrel upgrade and will duplicate your setup. Thanks so much for sharing.

Yoooooo!!!! That intro though….I just about peed my pants. 🫣 Nice!!!, now I’m gonna have to unplug EVERYTHING when I go to bed. Loll🤣 Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out once you get that condensation issue figured out.

I think you should consider setting up Home Assistant for future projects, it's a bit of gathering information to set it up, but there are great channels around Home Assistant, Like Everything Smart Home. It offers a lot of ways to display the information, control devices, send notifications and much more. I set it up around 8 months ago at my house and I found out that it could do much more than I could find through KZbin channels and Google search. For testing you could even set it up in a Virtual Machine on your computer, so you dont have to buy hardware to run it

Yeah I've looked at Home Assistant some and installed it. It definitely has a bit of a learning curve though, but from what I hear and as you mentioned, it has a lot of potential once you get it up and going. I may re-visit it down the road when I have a little more time.

Lol man, I enjoy these helpful ideas you produce on this channel. However, you may need to have a second channel for short films. That intro was so good!

Very interesting opening. What editor program do you use l use lumafusion
@GreenTechTown Жыл бұрын
I use Final Cut Pro X and ScreenFlow usually. How do you like lumafusion?

@GreenTechTown it is ok only 10$ and I'm not that good at editing my videos at all

Did you find a solution to the water level sensor condensation issue?
@GreenTechTown Жыл бұрын
Yes I believe so, but I need a little more time to test it. Allowing more air to enter the barrel appears to be one solution that helps to keep the face of the sensor dry, however, the challenge is making sure I'm not making it easy for bugs to enter. I haven't figured out the best long term solution that doesn't require a ton of modifications so I can just leave the sensor in place. I'm also thinking about trying a pressure sensor to see if it's easier to work with.

Thank you for sharing your videos. I like what you have done so far. Can you share what software you used to create your app and the Arduino code used to communicate with all you components. Thanks
@GreenTechTown Жыл бұрын
I used the Arduino software to program the code. I've been a little busy with some other projects lately but once I have time to pick back up on this project, I do plan to figure out a way to share the code if anyone wants to follow my approach as a reference.
