I know this is from a while ago but I’ll put this here for future people! EAR TRAINING EAR TRAINING EAR TRAINING! On KZbin you can look up backtracks of any vibe you want and you just improvise over it. If you need to, figure out what key it’s in and play the scale on piano and those are the notes you can use! It did come more naturally for me, but improvising over chord progressions is the best way to find new melodies! All that is to say, PRACTICE!!!
