This big list then goes to another person who turns it into a CSV and uploads it to some Adobe service which is supposed to then create and delete accounts, but of course never works quite right. In my professional opinion, Adobe are fucking bastards and pirating their software should always be your plan B, after plan A of "find an alternative program." Personally I'd just give everyone Gimp, but the boss's boss's boss's boss vetos most open-source software because it doesn't come with guaranteed vendor support.

AI is a lot, lot more than just GPTs. Neural Networks have a wide variety of applications beyond making text or images. See "The AI Revolution is Rotten to the Core" for more details, but such things can include: - Image recognition for tracking and law enforcement - Whatever Google (and probably a bunch of other social media companies) uses to scroll your feeds - Blowing people up, broadly speaking You are not being forced to use these tools. Other people are picking up these tools and using them against you-- the difference here is that they can target you with a granularity that would have been prohibitively costly to do on Big Tech scales previously.

Did you not think this was the way the world was headed considering we are in the Age of Information? I had the high res file. As I have a 5D Mark IV myself - the resolution gave it away for me (my sample had no metadata). It was deffo touched up, since some things looked oddly blurry, her neck had an obvious split (as if 2 images were spliced together - but this is common in photoshoots with kids where smiles may not all happen at the same time). It's not an AI pic, IMO, just a weirdly photoshopped one.

I’m not a supporter of the monarchy but people who are argue that the royals are there to be public ambassadors. @@hks-lion depending on the type of abdominal surgery she had as it's a catch all term it can be anywhere from 3 weeks to 4 months where you are supposed to rest and not do anything that can put strain on such as lifting anything. Even after that you can still be tired and sore for months which restricts what you can do and royal engagements can be fairly tough, it's long sessions on your feet, shaking hands so while it seems she is now ok lifting things they would want to give her more time to feel capable to do royal engagements. On the photo, you had William taking the photos on her Camera which isn't a point and shoot so even if she set it up to be more like a point and shoot he most likely couldn't have adjusted it right if conditions changed and kids are always difficult to take pictures of,they don't like being still and yiu then have 3 of them. I suspect there were issues with all of them so she did what most people do these days and try and splice multiple photos together to get a usable shot. in hindsight she should have just used one where one of the kids is moving or blinking or yawning or sneezing etc but they probably didn't think it was an issue and it wouldnt have been if harry & Meghan and their sussex squad weren't constantly spreading lies especially around Kate's surgery

I'm a hobby photographer. I've used everything from DSLRs to phone cameras. Although this picture definitely has some weird features, I've seen a LOT of weird interactions over the years. There's just tons that can go wrong... from a slightly worn camera (being dropped once) to weird reflections/lighting effects, to lower dynamic range making shadows or clothing colors do weird things, to compression issues (that can stack if you have imperfect upload and download file sizes). Some elements do look off to me. But I'd have to look at it at a proper screen/with the actual file at hand. However, if this was indeed taken by one of the more-expensive Canon DSLRs, I'd expect the image to have been wayyy higher quality - but webcompression can be a killer, too. TLDR: there's so much that can go wrong, that it's really impossible to judge (without getting your hands on the orginial file - and even then, you'd probably need a lot of context about that day and scene, without ever having been present)

Looking at the image it felt as though the image had undergone potential ai upscaling leading it to look unnatural. There's also signs of the clone tool being used poorly in some areas. It's possible they took multiple photos and edited them together too. It's just shocking something like that was approved to go out. It definitely got a lot of scrutiny due to the poor job. Plot twist: Lizzy is alive and stepped back to rule from the shadows. Chuck is a puppet monarch because he's "younger". Yeah, AI art has gotten pretty good. When I can generate art of a TTRPG character, an anthro lion wearing a tux for an in game soiree, and it looks like a believable lion dressed impeccably, you know we've definitely passed a boundary. And this isn't even midjourney or whatever, I'm self hosting stable diffusion and I'm using a low complexity model. Imagine if I had a proper recent quadro card with 24GB+ and could load the high res models. Given how public Kate is/was, gathering enough pictures of her to make a model for her is a trivial matter. Why I don't think the picture is AI generated though is because the AI wouldn't blur things. Having done face substitution before (for teh lulz with friends) I know that the output is crisp, if awkward at times. And blurry hair? If I can render furries a lion with a long flowing mane with the kind of clarity that I can see the strands, there's no way a human render would be lacking that clarity. But yes, it is easy to modify the meta data of a file. In fact many art programs will just overwrite it when you make any changes.

I can understand lighting, colour and red eye edits but the edits she did suggest her whole face might be potentially added to the photo which seems highly deceptive at a time when she has not been seen publicly for 3 months. She has a privileged position partly funded by taxpayer. if I was trying to cover up AI use I would 100% try to make it look like a bad photoshop to make it harder to pick out the AI in it. So many things are red flags. Why is an intern who has never used photoshop being trusted to touch up this photo? Why is she blurring and messing with stuff in the touchup that doesn't even make sense from a touchup perspective? I know when I was first learning photoshop I wasn't blurring out the hands and warping weird stuff. It's weird. I'm not really a conspiracy theorist but things like this make me want to be one.

11:55 "AI trained on photos" to generate and edit someones photoface really is the next logical step for celebrity photo touchups. Celebs with strong PR teams have a specific person that edits ALL their photos as that person has learned that persons best looks and has a process to edit photos to align with that. A machine learning version of that to generate that look instead of macros and manual touchups is gonna be the norm, but at least there's gonna be some gaffs along the way for us to laugh at the clowns.

im no ai expert, altho i generated many many pictures to the point where i feel confident in pointing out ai traces. ai pictures are more often than not pretty flowy, almost like vector graphics. which is why lowres pictures 512*768 look actually quite good, even when looking at them zoomed in. the blur is also usually pretty uniform, unless you go with a specific blur prompt. looking at the pictures i would agree with luke that this is mostly sub paar photoshop. maybe the base image with the children and the placeholder woman are ai generated but thats about it.

C'mon now, there is a much simpler explanation. They don't just take one photo, they take lots of photos. The kids looked good in this photo but Kate's eyes were closed or something, so they cropped her head out of one photo and put it in this one.

Why would they crop her head out of a photo to place it in another when they, as you said, took numerous photos? That doesn't make any sense. Just use one of the good photos amongs potentially dozens or more.

Combining photos is nothing new in photography, they do it all the time, usually to better effect. They simply didn't have a good photo of everyone, or they really liked the photo of the kids, yknow like normal people things that happen?
